I went from not really knowing how to feel my emotions, to exploring ways to connect with them, move with them, express them. From poetry, to meditation, writing songs, or just talking to my support system. And these are all incredible outlets, with a billion others that are so incredibly helpful!
But today, as I went to try putting what I was feeling into words, a realization came over me in the midst of frustration for feeling like I didn’t have the “right” words to express how I was feeling, and that was to just simply feel ❤️
The mind is so powerful and amazing in its ability to create stories, and it’s desire to want to make sense of things. But the feeling body has its own intelligence that wants to be heard, seen, and felt in its own ways too. Being present with the emotions is not always easy, but it’s a practice that I’m here for.
