Crandell's Enterprises is proud to celebrate the successful completion of our first internship program with Mr. Carl Washington, a young man affiliated with the 100 Black Men of the Triangle.

Carl spent his summer gaining hands-on experience at Crandell’s Enterprises under the guidance of our CFO and Finance Manager, learning firsthand about finance, business operations, professionalism, and the responsibilities that come with working in a corporate environment. This fall, Carl will begin an exciting new chapter as an incoming freshman at Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he will study Finance. To recognize his hard work and successful completion of the internship, Crandell’s Enterprises was honored to present Carl with a $1,000 scholarship toward his educational expenses.

And this isn’t goodbye! We look forward to welcoming Carl back during fall breaks and next summer as he continues his education and professional development. At Crandell’s Enterprises, giving back means more than contributing. It means creating opportunities, providing mentorship, investing in education, and opening doors for the next generation of leaders.

Congratulations, Carl! We are excited to see where this journey takes you.

We were proud to support Greater Love Church’s 15th Annual Back-to-School Bash, an event dedicated to preparing local students and families for a successful school year. As part of our commitment to giving back, Crandell’s Enterprises donated $2,500 to support the event and provided back-to-school backpacks to every Crandell’s employee with school-aged children.

Supporting our community also means supporting the families who make up our Crandell’s team. When children have the tools they need to walk into the classroom prepared and confident, we all win. We extend our appreciation to Greater Love Church and the participating sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and community partners who came together to provide school supplies, free haircuts, free dental exams, food, activities, and resources for families throughout the Raleigh community.

Crandell's Enterprises was honored to be represented by our CEO and President, Ms. Mary Crandell, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the expansion of the Men’s Campus at Healing Transitions.

This milestone represents far more than the opening of new space—it represents 25 years of hope, recovery, dignity, and another opportunity for individuals to rebuild their lives. The expansion includes a new kitchen, additional storage, an expanded community room, and increased shelter capacity, strengthening Healing Transitions’ ability to serve men throughout our community.

We were honored to hear from Dr. Chuck Harr, Chief Medical Officer, representing WakeMed, whose extraordinary $2 million contribution helped launch this journey. The celebration also recognized the collective commitment of community and government leaders, including:
