You don't have to just push through it.

Perimenopause and menopause are hormone deficiencies. Treating them isn't indulgence. It's medicine. New post breaks down what's actually happening, why bioidentical HRT is safe, and what a full hormone program looks like. Read about it here: staywellforlife.com/blog/womens-hormone-health.html

Happy International Women’s Day. 💚
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the U.S., and it gets missed far too often because it doesn’t always look like the “classic” heart attack.
I wrote about why women’s heart disease presents differently, what screening actually catches it, and what questions to ask your provider.

Get outside today. ☀️
A landmark 20-year study followed nearly 30,000 women and found that those who avoided sun exposure had TWICE the mortality rate compared to those with the highest sun exposure. To put that in perspective, that’s a risk comparable in magnitude to smoking.
Sun exposure isn’t something to fear. It’s something your body needs. Vitamin D production, improved cardiovascular health, better mood, lower blood pressure. The benefits are real, and the research backs it up.
So today, take the break outside. Go for the walk. Sit in the grass. Let your skin see the sun.
Your body will thank you.

If you've ever felt more confused about food after reading another diet article, same. I wrote this one to cut through the noise: what "eating clean" actually means, why so many people feel better off wheat in Europe but not the US, and what the research actually says about the popular eating patterns. No agenda, just honesty. Link below.

Everyone's selling a different eating plan. Here's an honest breakdown of what 'eating healthy' actually means, why it looks different for everyone, and what the research actually says.

Black History Month blog post is up.
Tuskegee. Henrietta Lacks. Maternal mortality. Undertreated pain. The history is uncomfortable, but it matters.

Black Americans face significant and well-documented health disparities across nearly every major category. This Black History Month, let's talk honestly about why, and what better care actually looks like.
