We asked Gayle what inspired Fed Bev. Her answer? Ten years of listening. 🎙️

Working farmers markets from DC to the Delaware beaches, she kept hearing the same thing: people missed getting together, but weren't looking to drink to do it. Post-COVID especially, folks wanted back in on the social scene without the hangover (literal and figurative).

So she opened a booze-free bottle shop with a social lounge and a cafe attached. Because the point was never just the drinks. It was the gathering. 💚

Delaware’s new h**p beverage law takes effect October 21st, and buried in it is a provision that should worry anyone who’s chosen the sober or sober-curious path: h**p THC drinks can only be sold in licensed liquor stores or ma*****na dispensaries. Not at non-alcoholic bottle shops. Not at places like Fed Bev.

Think about what that means. Someone in recovery, someone who walks through our doors specifically to avoid the liquor store, would have to go stand in a liquor store to buy a h**p beverage. The one product designed to give people a lower-risk alternative to alcohol would only be available in the one place many of you are trying to stay out of!

Delaware’s state legislators can still fix this. Reach out, tell them why this matters, and ask them to allow licensed non-alcoholic retailers to sell these products too.

Before you try to change your drinking habits, get curious about them first. Keep a simple log for a week or two: what you drank, where you were, and how you were feeling beforehand. No grading, no judgment, just information.
