🌟 Patient of the Month: Nataliya! 🌟

This month, we’re celebrating Nataliya, an amazing member of the Biggest Little Therapies family! 💙

Nataliya receives Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy with our incredible therapists Kailey, Alyssa, and Marisa. When asked about her therapy experience, Nataliya shared:

💬 “My speech therapist, Kailey, helps me practice speaking better and my PT, Alyssa, helps me walk better, and my OT, Marisa, helps me use my hands. We have lots of fun and laughs during therapy! My therapists are very kind.”

Nataliya brings such a positive attitude to every session and is an absolute pleasure to work with. We love seeing her hard work, determination, and joyful personality shine through in therapy!

A lifelong Nevadan and UNR graduate, Evelyn is excited to begin her career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant right here in Reno! Her experience working with children and adults from diverse backgrounds has helped her develop a compassionate, adaptable approach to supporting communication and helping each client feel comfortable expressing themselves and connecting with others.

Outside of speech therapy, Evelyn enjoys art, poetry, stargazing, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. ✨

🌟 Patient of the Month: Johnny! 🌟

Join us in celebrating our amazing Patient of the Month, Johnny! 👏🎉

Johnny has been working hard in both Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, and his dedication continues to inspire everyone around him. Here’s what he had to say about his therapy journey:

💬 “I like speech therapy because it helps me pronounce my words better and work on my conversation. They help me stay organized and manage my time better. I like OT because I get to take walks to work on following directions. I also like OT because we get to cook meals and practice making lists for grocery shopping. They are helping me problem solve and stand up for myself in hard situations.”

Johnny is an adult client who is building important life skills every week. Through community-based therapy, he works alongside his therapists in stores and other real-world settings to strengthen money management, grocery shopping, social communication, executive functioning, problem-solving, and independence. At home, he continues to build the everyday skills that help him thrive.

Johnny has been an absolute joy for both our Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy teams to work with. His positive attitude, determination, and willingness to learn make us so proud.

Gunner is a profoundly autistic and nonverbal 4-year-old rockstar! He is incredibly sweet, loves cuddling, and fills every room with pure joy. Everyone simply loves being around him and his infectious smile. Gunner works so hard, dedicating 24 hours a week to therapies where he gives 100% to learn, communicate, and navigate big behaviors. His resilience and determination are inspiring, he shows us that a lack of words never means a lack of things to say.

Biggest Little Therapies just got BIGGER! Please help us welcome two incredible new additions to our OT team, Dr. Adam McMahon, OTD, OTR/L, and Dr. Sophie Foster, OTD, OTR/L! 💙❤️💛

Dr. Adam McMahon, OTD, OTR/L earned his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine. He brings a strong clinical background in outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehab, and acute care. Adam is passionate about expanding his practice into pediatrics and adolescent populations, with a growing interest in mental health, PTSD, and trauma-informed care for both children and adults. He brings a well-rounded skill set that supports a wide range of client needs.

Dr. Sophie Foster, OTD, OTR/L earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She has experience across pediatric and adult settings and stands out for her work in early intervention within the home environment. Sophie’s approach emphasizes functional, client-centered care and meeting families where they are most comfortable.

We’re excited to have Adam and Sophie join our growing mobile outpatient team bringing skilled occupational therapy services directly to families in their homes.

Please help us welcome Alyssa Carreon to the Biggest Little Therapies team as our new Physical Therapist! 🎉

Alyssa is from Reno, Nevada and brings several years of experience working with both pediatric and adult populations. She is a wonderful human, and we are so excited for the compassion, knowledge, and support she will bring to our clients and families.

Physical therapy in the mobile outpatient setting helps children and adults improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, endurance, safety, and independence within their everyday environments. PT can support developmental delays, injuries, neurological conditions, recovery after illness or surgery, chronic pain, balance concerns, and so much more all from the comfort and convenience of home and community-based care.

This month we are celebrating Timmy 💙

Timmy is seen for both speech and occupational therapy with Heather and Lauran, who work closely alongside Timmy and his mom to support meaningful progress and optimal carryover right in the home environment.

Timmy is loving, silly, full of energy, and always keeps his therapy team smiling 😊 Pictured here is Timmy with Heather, along with a fun snapshot of what therapy can look like while building so many important communication, social, and play skills through connection and engagement.

At Biggest Little Therapies, we love bringing therapy into natural environments where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. Working directly in the home allows families to be involved every step of the way and helps skills carry over into everyday life.

⭐ Meet Brenda Barranco — Director of Patient Care
Brenda holds a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Wayne State College and later earned her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. Brenda is also a licensed COTA and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including inpatient rehabilitation and school districts, primarily focusing on pediatrics. She supports our patients through the intake and authorization process while helping ensure exceptional patient care every step of the way.

⭐ Meet Eloisa Maiorano — Medical Biller
Eloisa is a certified professional medical coder with more than 25 years of experience in medical billing and coding. Since joining our team in 2025, she has provided patient-centered support by verifying insurance benefits, explaining coverage and out-of-pocket costs, and helping families navigate billing questions with clarity, respect, and compassion.

We are so thankful for everything these incredible women do for our patients, families, and therapists each day. 💫
