My career started as an engineer, but I soon realized it wasn't my true calling. I then transitioned to become a mobile dog groomer, fueled by my love for animals. However, a wrist injury forced me to rethink my path once again. Around that time, I

discovered the concept that everything is energy, and like energy attracts like energy. This revelation opened a new world for me. I learned about subtle energy fields, the seven major chakras, and the layers that compose our auras. It was a revelation that even animals, trees, and plants have auras too. Eager to explore this newfound knowledge, I delved into various metaphysical classes, seeking to understand more about this energy world I had uncovered. Then, during a visit to the vet for my injured cat, I had a fascinating conversation about energy, and I mentioned how I wished I could do more for hurt wild animals that showed up in my backyard. The office manager suggested Reiki, a term I had never heard before. With that spark of curiosity, I enrolled in a Reiki class just three weeks later, and my life took a transformative turn. I embraced Reiki wholeheartedly, and I've never looked back since. My journey from engineering to animal care to Reiki has given me a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of energy in all living beings and a passion for helping others tap into their own energy healing potential. I'm deeply dedicated to helping individuals unlock their full potential and lead more fulfilling lives. My journey as a Reiki Master, combined with my training in spiritual tools, has equipped me with a unique set of skills and insights. These experiences have not only transformed my own life but have also allowed me to offer a wide range of services that can guide and empower others on their own paths of self-discovery. On a hot July day, a single mature tree in your yard pumps somewhere around 100 gallons of water up from its roots and out through its leaves as water v***r. A mature elm with 150,000 leaves can clear that in a day.

As that water ev***rates off the leaf surface, it carries heat away with it, the same basic physics that makes sweat work. The air around the canopy drops measurably.

The cooling effect of a single large tree transpiring 100 gallons of water is roughly equivalent to two household air conditioning units running all day. Except it runs on sunlight and groundwater, costs nothing, and has been doing it since before your house was built.

A yard with mature canopy runs 5 to 10 degrees cooler than a paved or treeless yard next door. That's not a feeling. It's a physics difference you can measure with a thermometer. The urban heat island is real, and it gets worse one removed tree at a time.

The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is this weekend, before another hot ass July like this one comes around.
