As I've Shared The Sad News Of Closing My First Solo Location (Flea Market Booth Out By The Airport)
I've Taken A Slice Of The Old And One Of Anew...
I Have A Client That's Been With Me 11 Yrs...
He Gets A FRESH Bald Head, And There Wasn't Much To Aspire About That Until I Finally Took Action To Get A Cut Demo With A New Friend And Colleague Both From The Boardroom To The Barber-Styling Chair...
This Friend Is A Corporate Barber At A Local Campus Of A Global Brand/Corporation That I Met And Befriended, Through An Entrepreneurship Class We Attended... He's A Phenomenal, Accomplished, And Brilliant Young Cat... I Salute Him, And His Tilted Crown About His Kingdom!
I Didn't Capture His Demo But I Will Do My Damnedest To Record An Interview With Him...
He's Been A Barber For About 8 Yrs And Taught This Old Dog A Trick No One In My 17 Yrs Of Hair Knowledge Has ... And About The Holy Grail Of Barber Skills... FADING....
His Whole Premise Spoke To
How Selfish People With Knowledge Either
"Fear Or Fail To Share It" (My Words To Paraphrase It)
But His Approach, (To Reaching Me And Sharing As A Whole Really Aligned With "PAYING IT FORWARD"
He Spoke Eloquently Of How He Built Himself Up From Lackluster Educational Models Into A Field Of Experimentation, Observation, And Practice...
It All Came From His Own Patient Observations Of Barbers, And Shop Owners, Mixed With His Personal Drive To Reverse Engineer It All Into A Self-Educating Foundation...
Yeah... He's That Sharp (Pun Intended)

(As A Growing Friend I'm More Prone To Protecting Him And His Value Than "Hating" "Criticizing" And Being Anti Around Him (Very Common In Shops And Salons GLOBALLY !!!)

And Everyone Is Making Money Like Working At A Bank Of Sorts... So Everything That Happens There Affects Your Money... Vicariously Through Your Clients Perceptions, Your Skills, Your Circles, Who You Date, Etc... You Become A Bit "Celebritized" In It If You Work At It... But That Can Go From Tom Hanks To Gary Busy Dumb Quick... Google Busey And You'll Get It !
Needless To Say To Intersect These Two Friends And Colleagues At The Closing Of This Location And Chapter Of My Career Is Phenomenally Well Timed, And Seasoned... (God Is Good... All The Time!)
I Had An Old Friend To Model The Cut, A New Friend, To Demo A Classic Gentleman's Haircut, (Bald Fade) And The Kind Of Authentic Barbershop Talk That For Some 🤬 Reason These Celebrities Feel The Need To Use A Barbershop Setting To Make A Talk Show Like The Male Desperate Housewives...
I Digress... Hollywood Stays Wh***ng Out Make Believe That No One Believes Anymore... We See The Grand Hustle Now... Anywho...
