Rebecca Lovvorn Art Follow me on Instagram too! I am a person with many dream jobs in me. Starting my own design & paperie business is one of them.

It was actually my husband, Corey, who suggested in 2015 that I start making my occasional design gigs into an actual job and there began the fall down the rabbit hole. I began with Blessed Bookworm Designs with graphic design focused on literary quotes. Since December 1, 2016 have been growing my talents with hand lettering, watercolors, pen and ink techniques, and more. I decided recently to beg

in working on my art more ardently with the goal of becoming a tattoo artist in a few years. I believe in kindness without qualification, serving others with a happy heart, inspiring and encouraging anyone you can as much as possible, working tirelessly at things I love, letting go of all the anger and cruelty of the world, sharing the good. I believe that you can embrace your life even when there are things you aren't thrilled with in it, that choosing happiness and spreading it to those around you will change your life. I believe books are one of the most beautiful influences on the person you become that exist in the world, writing letters by hand is an art not to be lost in the blue haze of devices and apps, that words - words are what we put together to share our souls with the world. They are the most treasured resource we have.

Hey darlings, I know it's been a few weeks since I've shared my Self-Love affirmations so I thought I'd post it today from a very snowy Denver. I've actually been keeping up with this in my planner everyday and not just Sundays but I hadn't transferred them into my sketchbook for a bit because work has been so busy. I hope all of you are well and that these brighten your day. I'd encourage them to read them aloud to yourself. ❤️

Good evening, darlings. Since yesterday was I thought it would be fitting to make my Self-Love piece this week just in my actual natural handwriting. I hope you have a wonderful close to your weekend and start tomorrow off with some meditation and mindfulness. ❤️

I got distracted with my boys yesterday and forgot to post the affirmation I made for this week. ❤️ I've been enjoying playing with lettering but not stressing it as much as I used to. I hope you have a beautiful week, pandas.

Alright, sweets, I've decided a new way to make sure I engage and take time with art in this new year would be to make it a part of my self-care. So this year I'm going to be doing a weekly lettering and/or art piece on Sundays with some words focused on self-love for . I'll also always try to tag the account/artist I may have gotten the words from if they are not my own. Today I'm going to post the piece I would have shared last Sunday and then I'll share today's piece in a second post. I hope you'll all join in giving yourself more positive and loving words of affirmation this year ❤️ Happy Sunday

Hey darlings, long time and all that. I realized just now I only posted 12 times this year to this account. I wish I was able to consistently devote more time to my art but between work, single parenting, and grad school responsibilities, my art just doesn't get as much attention as I would like. I'd like to try and devote some time to it each week this year however. Maybe a 52 weeks project. What do you guys think?

In any case, I've always shared my word of intention for the new year since I started the practice heading into 2017 and this year is no different. I went through a lot of possible ideas when thinking of my word for 2021 but this week I realized they're all centered around the idea of not letting fear hold me back. So I put them all around my little frame for my word of intention: Fearless. Waiting to hear back on a PhD program application, learning to skateboard again with my sons, and making progress towards other goals for myself so everything is about being fearless. ❤️ What's your word for 2021?

Hey lovelies, I am busy with a lot of leadership work I've taken on this year and so I decided to lean into doing weekly Inktober/Drawtober pieces this year as a form of self-care and cutting myself some slack. Last Friday night was the New Moon and in line with setting intentions and the time of new beginnings, tomorrow will be the first book discussion meeting of the Antiracist Book Club professional development I'm leading in my school. We'll be discussing shame, vulnerability, and Daring Greatly by Brené Brown so I did some intentions focusing in the last week as I have been preparing. In my piece I included an important quote in my natural handwriting that I think directly ties to the mindset needed in antiracism work, "... discomfort should be normalized: We believe growth and learning are uncomfortable so it's going to happen here - you're going to feel that way. We want you to know that it's normal and it's an expectation here. You're not alone and we ask that you stay open and lean into it."

Happy Friday, ghouls 🖤 It's been an insanely busy week at work but I finished the first big piece I wanted to do this month. I wanted to try something with a cauldron inspired by one of my sweet 's pieces last year. (Love you, Soph!) Hope you all enjoy it 🕸️💀

Hey pandas! Here's the finished product on this fun inspired graduation card for one of my students! He's the first to earn a diploma from our facility in at least 15 years and we're so unbelievably proud! I wish I had an airbrush to add more glow but I'm happy with how this turned out using just the supplies I already owned in quarantine. 💛 Congrats to my student and all of the Class of 2020!!

Hey loves! Fun things in the works over here these days like working in neon techniques. The background on this will be painted black and some final touches added after that, but this lettering has got me swooning tonight. There's more gradient to the glow in real life, but my camera just can't handle these yellows. Hope you're all doing well 🖤❤️
