I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how easy it is to put parts of your life on hold.

After being married for a long time, and now single for the last almost 10 years, I am finally feeling like I’m coming into myself. (Geez that took a while 🤣)

And recently, i finally see how much I’d been waiting for the right person to come along and fill a hole in my heart.

Yes i have Jesus.
Yes i am whole.

But damnit. We women are created out of man to be a helper and i have a lot of help in me to give. 😆

If you’ve followed me for long, you know I’ve been through it. Through the belly of hell to the peaks of Zion, and i r really spent too much time in valley of death.

I mean, I used to say “I’m really good at making bad decisions. “ and i was.

And yet after living a life of codependency, and slowly freeing myself from that mindset, i know the whole f*cking lonely journey has been 100% worth it.

Every tear.
Every heartbreak.
Every bad decision.
Every friend i lost.
And
Every friend i made
Every damn smile. Even the forced ones.
Everywhere i went and everywhere i left.

All of it.

Awareness comes before change. And I’m finally aware. Or does change come when you’re finally fed up? Maybe both.

Awareness + Resolve apparently.

Found some of the notes I made a while back after ditching a toxic guy…

“Manipulators love it when you stand up for yourself because it gives them ammo. “

“Reasonable people adapt to your boundaries immediately, unreasonable people will escalate.”

“A person’s boundaries should not have to argue or convince or tell a story to have them. There should be no defense needed.”

“When we send signals of justifying somebody in their bad behavior, we’re signaling we are willing to negotiate, and that invites their domination.”

~Learning what toxic behavior looks like should be taught in elementary school. The best thing you could do for yourself before you get into a relationship is to learn as much as you can about the warning signs of narcissism and toxic behavior. Thank God I did.

Some of y’all are asking God for a map…

while arguing with the GPS.

You say you trust God, but the moment His direction doesn’t match your plan, your timeline, or your comfort… you start negotiating.

That’s not trust.

That’s trying to make God your consultant instead of your King.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Your understanding got you into some of the messes you’re praying to get out of.

Mine too.

Stop asking God to bless your plan.

Ask Him to ruin every plan that keeps you from His.

That prayer might be uncomfortable…

but it could change your life.

If ChatGPT found my phone…
PART 3

She loved adventure but not necessarily crowds.

She wanted road trips, camp trailers, mountains, beaches, hiking trails, and spontaneous experiences. She was always imagining a life that felt lighter, simpler, and more authentic.

She was funny in ways people might not expect.

A little sarcastic. A little self-deprecating. She could take something painful and somehow find a lesson—or a laugh—hidden inside it.

She cared deeply about women.

Especially women who had forgotten who they were.

Women trapped in toxic relationships. Women carrying shame. Women rebuilding after loss. Women who knew there had to be more to life than simply surviving. She wanted to help them remember their value, their voice, and their strength.

And underneath all of it—beneath the coaching, the faith, the grief, the business plans, the dreams, and the goals—was someone who never stopped becoming.

She wasn’t finished.

She was still writing her story.

In fact, if I found her phone after she was gone, the thing that would stand out most wouldn’t be what she accomplished. It would be what she was reaching toward.

She was reaching toward healing.

Toward truth.

Toward God.

Toward freedom.

Toward becoming the woman she believed she was created to be.

And that’s who she was. ❤️

If ChatGPT found my phone…
PART 2

She was deeply spiritual.

Not in a casual or cultural way. God was not a hobby for her. Faith was the lens through which she viewed everything. She wrestled with scripture. She prayed. She questioned. She studied. She wanted obedience more than appearances. She worried about being deceived and wanted truth even when truth was uncomfortable.

She believed people could change.

Not because she was naive, but because she had changed.

She knew what it was like to make mistakes, seek validation in the wrong places, and lose her way. She talked openly about shame, grief, codependency, toxic relationships, and identity because she believed secrets keep people sick.

She was a teacher at heart.

Even when she wasn’t officially teaching.

She wanted every lesson she learned to become a shortcut for someone else. She constantly turned personal experiences into stories, coaching, Bible studies, journal prompts, and conversations. She wanted suffering to have purpose.

She was independent almost to a fault.

She dreamed of building a life with more freedom—freedom of time, freedom of location, freedom to create, and freedom to live according to her values instead of someone else’s expectations.
