How does thermal imaging benefit your horse?

Here’s an example. Goose is our resistant oldie around here who suffers from navicular. Before starting his body work session last week I snapped a few images to locate areas that would need more attention.

Note that in the before picture, there is heat along his topline. Goose doesn’t get ridden anymore but from compensation from his hoof pain and just general wear and tear, he often has back soreness.

After one massage and a back tape, the inflammation is down significantly!

Hey there…this page has been quiet for too long, because of well, life! After our first son was born, we’ve been soaking up every minute with our sweet boy and that has led to Jme Equine Services taking a back seat. I wouldn’t do anything different, but I am in a place where I am ready to get back at it helping horses and their owners!

With that being said, I wanted to reintroduce myself and give this page a re-boot. So, if you’re new here or just need a refresher, my name is Jayme Dintelman, owner and operator of Jme Equine Services. I began my bodywork journey back in 2021 when a good friend of mine introduced me to equine massage and in turn opened my eyes to the importance of equine body work.

I completed my certification course in equine sports massage and followed up with certifications in thermal imaging and kinesiology taping. My goal then and my goal now is to help ensure your equine partners are feeling their best!

I am open to working with horses, mules, ponies and donkeys.

I am based out of Rosebud, MO and will be prioritizing clients within a 50 mile radius of home. I do work full time, have a toddler, and my own animals so although I’d love to assist every person in surrounding states, I will have limitations with my time.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or to set up an appointment!

Thank you to everyone who supported my small business in 2022!

I had taken some time off during my third trimester of pregnancy and during my maternity leave, but am excited to get back to helping horses and owners in 2023!

I will be announcing some changes for 2023, so stay tuned to the page for those!

Again thank you to everyone who supported JME Equine be it as clients, liking the page or sharing! ❤️

Being pregnant, working full time, and having a little of ten pups makes time a precious commodity around here!

But that aside, I do still enjoy reading articles on equine anatomy and health. I recently found this very informative pictures on young horse development! Young horses develop at a slower rate then most of us even realize!

This is always a special subject to me with a 2 year old of my own at home!

Exceptional Equestrians Mo. Valley had me out on Saturday to work on their sweet therapy horses. These horses help people with special needs and deserve all the pampering. They receive the best care, and I think them for allowing me to be apart of that care.

I had the please of working on Santa, Flash and King. All three showed great balance improvements! I got to talking and forgot the after pictures of King, but figured I’d post a pic of the cute Palomino.

Thank you again for having me out to work on these boys! It’s always my pleasure, especially with my soft spot for older horses! ❤️

✨Strike Force✨

This gorgeous gelding has been having some lameness issues in his left front leg. It was pretty obvious when asked to gait, that something was bothering him, however there was no swelling and no heat. We tried out the thermal image camera and noticed a hot spot in the left front leg.

Although I cannot diagnose what might be going on here, I can give the owners a good place to start when they contact the vet for X-Rays.

In the before and after of this geldings back, you can see how much his muscles have relaxed during the course of the massage. He was very open with when something hurt and would fight the releases, but we worked through it and got some good releases!

Thank you Bonnie Bacon!

Goose and I had a morning of massaging, taping, and discussing body work with the members of Gerald Saddle Club!

We had a massage demo along with a taping demo, and it was great to talk with members about how body work can benefit their own horses!
