Tobosa Developmental Services Tobosa is a community-focused organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and the surrounding community. https://tobosa.org

A 40-year-old nonprofit, Tobosa Developmental Services is southeast New Mexico’s premier provider of services to individuals living with developmental disabilities. We serve hundreds of individuals, giving them a safe space to experience growth and an opportunity to cultivate their talents through our individualized care and innovative programs. We help individuals and families experiencing developmental disabilities discover and use their gifts. To do that, we’ve equipped our staff with the most up-to-date training and support, consistent with the latest research and guidance. Four of our programs offer care for different levels of need, from around-the-clock care to occasional check-ins, as needed. This stair-step structure makes sure we can meet each individual’s abilities where they are, and graduate them to a life of substantial independence. We also offer respite care for caregivers and employment services, which give our clients fulfilling work and the means of earning a living. Tobosa is proud to be considered one of the highest quality centers for developmentally challenged individuals in southeastern New Mexico.

Join us for a day dedicated to self-advocacy, empowerment, connection, and FUN at this year’s “Fun House Solutions” conference!

Communication is about more than words! Facial expressions and body movements can also help us understand what someone is communicating.

In American Sign Language, facial expressions play an important role in showing whether someone is making a statement or asking a question. For example, raising the eyebrows can help indicate a yes-or-no question.

We’re Hiring: Director of Finance

Tobosa Developmental Services is looking for an experienced financial leader to join our team as Director of Finance.

This position plays an important role in supporting the financial health and sustainability of our organization. The Director of Finance will oversee financial reporting, annual operating and capital budgets, grant accounting, fund tracking, and financial presentations for the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.

We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, seven or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, and at least three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
