"Change is inevitable.
Growth is optional."

My personal journey into the uncertain waters of aging and menopause continues to present me with new challenges and insights into myself on an almost daily basis. It's led me to wonder why we, as a society, seem to be content with letting people with ovaries face this monumental change alone.

My goal as a health coach is to reach out to people on the cusp of “the change of life,” who want answers on how to maintain, or even improve, their feelings of health into middle age and beyond. You shouldn’t have to face this transition alone (or worse, with only your friend, GOOGLE, to guide you.) I’m here to help.

I LOVE working with this lady, I LOVE seeing her reach her goals and make new ones, and I LOVE that after working together for so long I now get to call her friend 💜

When we work together, your goals become OUR goals.

Check out this testimonial from one of Sam's clients to see how we help you change intention into action:

"I had seen Samantha working with other members in our gym. I appreciated her spunky attitude and warm smile. I knew she was the one I wanted to help me reach my goal. I’m no spring chicken, and I had special needs due to numerous injuries and surgeries, but she addressed each issue head on...I know I challenged her in many ways, not just my physical needs but also with my emotional ones. Her upbeat, positive, glass is half full attitude went a long way for me. She has an awesome perspective on any given situation and is willing to take the time to sit and discuss with you...Not only did we reach our goal, but we surpassed it. Having someone else have that much faith in me was the missing piece. It took me almost half of my life to finally choose me and I am extremely fortunate that fate put Samantha in my path to help guide me to the next level."

Meet Sam’s daughters, Geri and Matilda.

These girls are polar opposites - Geri (dog) is a sweet, shy princess who loves cuddles, belly rubs, and doing whatever her parents want her to do. Meanwhile, Matilda (cat) is a little garbage demon...who also loves cuddles....until she doesn’t.

Introvert vs. Extrovert
Anxious vs. Fearless
Affectionate vs. Independent

You couldn’t find two more different, yet totally loveable, fur babies (at least, that’s what Sam says.) However, they DO have one thing in common: They are both currently living for the dream of turkey dinner droppings on the floor.

are difficult to draw with the people we love, and even harder to enforce. But they're an act of love for the longest relationship we will ever have - ourselves.

❓I'm an introvert and not much of a joiner - would group coaching be a good fit for me❓

Coach Sam here, and I'd love to answer your question!

People who are more introverted can actually get a lot out of the group coaching environment (it's true!) In fact, you may find it a more comfortable starting point than traditional 1:1 coaching.

The reason for this is the inherent accessibility of the group coaching experience. In here, there’s no pressure to dominate the conversation - instead, everyone takes turns sharing the spotlight. You will have the freedom to speak up when you feel the need to share, but you can still benefit from the coaching experience on nights when you can’t or don’t want to be more vocal.

Because our coaching groups are structured around similar goals, there will always be another group member(s) struggling with similar challenges, and the more focused coaching they receive can still be a beneficial experience for you even if you never say a word as you observe.

For example, my upcoming group, HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAYS, is specifically designed for individuals who want to enjoy the holiday season outside of the bubble of diet culture and may need support from other like-minded people. Together, we can conceptualize an idea of what a diet-free holiday might look like, and we can help one another learn to set and enforce boundaries with family and friends.

Furthermore, group coaching provides community and support that can be difficult to build on your own as someone who is not very extroverted or naturally outgoing.

So can group coaching be a positive experience for an introvert?
ABSOULUTELY!
♥️ We build community
♥️ We share the spotlight
♥️ We learn together in a safe, low pressure environment

“I can’t believe I ate so much. I need to hit the gym extra hard tomorrow.”

“I like to load up on ‘good’ food during the day so I’m less likely to go crazy later.”

“You can’t leave without having some of my eggnog. Come on, try it! You’ll like it! It’s so good!” *continues pestering until you have some*

"Oooo - you're being so BAD right now!"

The holidays are SUPPOSED to be a time for us to gather in celebration of love, family, friendship, and the end of another year together. Yet, every season, the comments (about the appearance of our bodies, the food on our plates, and the desserts in the kitchen) and the strategies to successfully starve ourselves during “the most wonderful time of the year” can feel overwhelming and all-consuming.

Our HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAYS group coaching is specifically designed for people who are trying to navigate the holidays diet-free.

Led by Sam, our Certified Health Coach, we will work together on:
⭐ setting healthy, relevant, and achievable goals that do not center around the scale or extreme food restriction
⭐ learning to set and enforce boundaries around "diet talk"
⭐ preparing for challenges along the way

As a group, we will provide accountability for one another within a judgement-free safe space. And together, we will work to learn how to set and discuss healthy boundaries with our friends and family in order to better savor and enjoy the full fruits of this festive season.

Register via our website (linktree in bio) and join us starting November 16th for a very happy, healthy holiday!

2 years ago I competed in my last body building competition.

And 1 year ago I was in the middle of another competition prep when I heard my body say "no."

It's easy to forget because I don't feel my age, but I'm 38! I'm at the point in my life where hormones really start to shift gears into perimenopause, and my body was just not having ANY of what I gave it.

So for the last year I've dedicated myself to taking care of myself first. I've been working on healing my hormones and really actively listening to my body, understanding what it wants, and giving it what it needs.

This year has taught me so much about myself, and it's got me wondering...

HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUES?

HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE RECEIVING SIGNS FROM THEIR BODIES THAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND?

WHY IS IT THAT MENOPAUSE SEEMS TO BE SUCH A TABOO TOPIC WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE EXPERIENCE IT DURING THEIR LIVES?

We are not static creatures - Our bodies are ever changing, and it's frustrating when you feel like you don't know if what you're going through is "normal" or not.

‼️It shouldn't have to be this way‼️

So from now on I'm talking!
Out loud and often!
Who's with me?

This is your reminder to take a break.

⭐Your body requires rest to grow.
⭐ Time off is not a bad thing.
⭐ You are not "being bad" for missing a workout.
⭐ It is far better to miss a workout than to potentially injure yourself because you're not fully recovered from your last one.
⭐ Listening to your body is a skill that takes time to develop.
⭐ It's OK if you err on the side of caution when you're not sure what signals your body is giving you.

This post brought to you by: me taking my own advice.
