DAY 6: BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE

💪 Day 6 Challenge: Overcome the Fear of Helping

One of the biggest barriers to CPR isn’t knowledge. It’s hesitation.

Many bystanders worry about:
❓ Doing something wrong
❓ Hurting someone
❓ Looking foolish

Remember:

❤️ In a cardiac arrest emergency, doing something is almost always better than doing nothing.

CPR buys time. AEDs save lives. Your actions matter.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You just have to be willing to help.

DAY 5: TAKE AN OFFICIAL CPR & AED COURSE

🎓 Day 5 Challenge: Commit to Learning Lifesaving Skills

Reading about CPR is a great start.
Practicing CPR is even better.

A CPR & AED course provides:

✅ Hands-on practice
✅ Real-world scenarios
✅ AED training
✅ Confidence to act during an emergency

The person who saves a life is often an ordinary person who took the time to learn these skills.

DAY 4: LEARN TO USE AN AED

⚡ Day 4 Challenge: Learn How an AED Works

Many people hesitate to use an AED because they think it’s complicated.

The truth?

✅ AEDs provide step-by-step voice instructions ✅ They tell you exactly what to do
✅ They analyze the heart rhythm automatically ✅ They only deliver a shock when one is needed
AEDs are designed for everyday people—not just healthcare professionals.

The more familiar you are with an AED, the more confident you’ll be if an emergency occurs.

Tonight, Thursday, June 4. We will be at Dan Meredith Agency, LLC: Allstate Insurance on Union Ave. Stop by! We would love to meet you!

DAY 3: FIND YOUR NEAREST AED

⚡ Day 3 Challenge: Locate the Nearest AED

Do you know where the AED is located at:

🏢 Work? 🏋️ Your gym? 🏫 School? 🏠 Community center?

Challenge yourself to find it in less than 3 minutes.

An AED is designed to be used by ordinary people during a cardiac emergency. Knowing where it is before an emergency occurs can make all the difference.

💡 Bonus Challenge: Ask a coworker or family member if they know where the nearest AED is located.

DAY 2: MASTER HANDS-ONLY CPR

❤️ Day 2 Challenge: Learn the Correct Compression Rate

Hands-Only CPR has two simple steps:

1️⃣ Call 911
2️⃣ Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
The goal is 100–120 compressions per minute.

🎵 Need a rhythm?

Try compressions to the beat of: • Stayin’ Alive • Baby Shark • Crazy in Love

The first few minutes of cardiac arrest are critical. Knowing the proper compression rate can help save a life.

June 1–7 is CPR & AED Awareness Week!

The 7-Day CPR & AED Challenge
Presented by GO Help Confidently

DAY 1: MOCK CALL 911

🚨 Welcome to Day 1 of the 7-Day CPR & AED Challenge!

Today’s challenge is simple but critical: Practice making a mock 911 call. (**please do not actually call 911, practice by knowing what information is important to give)

In an emergency, staying calm can save valuable seconds. Practice:

📍 Stating your exact location📍 Describing the emergency clearly📍 Answering dispatcher questions📍 Staying on the line until told to hang up

Remember: 911 dispatchers can provide lifesaving instructions while help is on the way.

💡 Family Challenge: Ask everyone in your household if they know your home address and what to say during a 911 call.
