My work with veterans didn’t begin with disability claims. It began in their homes, caring for many Vietnam Veterans who were homebound, bedridden, or nearing the end of life.

They taught me that every Veteran deserves dignity, compassion, and someone willing to stand beside them. That purpose continues to guide everything my team and I do.

If you or a loved one needs help strengthening a VA disability claim, we’d be honored to serve you.

Looking back at my old photos from the service days brings it all right back.⁣

The early mornings, the exhaust fumes, the weight of the gear, and the unspoken bond with the brothers and sisters standing next to you. ⁣

Those years in uniform shaped who you are. ⁣

They taught you resilience, discipline, and what it truly means to sacrifice for something bigger than yourself.⁣

But military life wasn’t just about heroism. ⁣

It came with deep struggles, long months away from family, intense physical wear and tear, and invisible burdens that you carried home in silence.⁣

You didn't ask for recognition back then. You just did the job. ⁣

But heroism for your country shouldn’t leave you paying the price alone today.⁣

Now that the years have passed and your body is keeping the score of those old injuries, the system that promised to support you shouldn’t make it an uphill battle to get what you earned.⁣

I'm Dr. Jeremy Sy. As an active Army Reserve medical provider and former VA C&P examiner, I know the VA process is a long road. ⁣

But the lessons you learned in uniform taught you never to quit a necessary fight.⁣

I founded Valor Medical Evidence Consulting to stand with you for the long haul. ⁣

Let's look back at where you started, review your files together, and make sure you are properly supported for where you are today.⁣

Whenever you're ready, you can ask for help. ⁣

If you are a veteran sitting on a VA denial today or staring at a disability rating that doesn't match the daily pain you live with, those words probably hit close to home.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The VA claims road is notoriously long.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It is an uphill battle filled with complex medical bureaucracy, administrative hurdles, and setbacks that are intentionally designed to make you quit. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When you are fighting it alone, it is incredibly easy to lose hope.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But things can change.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This is the reality of what happens when you stop guessing what the VA wants to see and start backing your claim with honest, bulletproof clinical facts. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A denial doesn’t mean your pain isn’t real, it just means your medical evidence was missing its voice.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
At Valor Medical Evidence Consulting, we truly understand that the process takes time.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
There are no shortcuts, but there is always hope.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Take a moment to listen to this story. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Let it be the reminder you need that your fight isn't over. ⁣

You earned these benefits years ago, and we are here to stand with you for the long haul to help you finally connect those dots.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Whenever you're ready to look at your file together, we are here to help.⁣⁣

As a mental health clinician, it is important to not say the wrong words than can make unintentionally PTSD symptoms.

Here are some words we should avoid:

1. "Just get over it."
2. "That was years ago. Why are you still thinking about it?"
3. "You don't look like you have PTSD."
4. "Other people had it worse than you."
5. "You're overreacting."
6. "Why can't you just move on?"
7. "You're too sensitive."
8. "Stop dwelling on the past."
9. "Just think positive."
10. "What's wrong with you?"

If you know a Veteran struggling with PTSD or you don’t know if you have it….

We are open for a mental health consultation or disability claims medical review..

VETERANS!!!

You spent years protecting your brothers and your country without asking for anything in return.

Now that your body is failing, the system that should support you is making it impossible to get what you earned.

You aren't 'gaming the system.'

You are simply documenting the truth of what your service costs you.

Let’s make sure your medical evidence actually reflects the reality of your life.

I’m Dr. Jeremy Sy, and I’m here to help whenever you’re ready.

MYTH: PTSD only happens to soldiers or people in war zones.

FACT: PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced trauma, whether from abuse, accidents, loss, violence, or other life-changing events.
Understanding PTSD starts with breaking the myths.

What’s one PTSD myth you’ve heard that people should stop believing?

Can Sleep Apnea Be Secondary to PTSD? 🤔

Many veterans ask whether sleep apnea can be connected to their service-connected PTSD.

The answer depends on the medical evidence and whether a clear link can be established between the two conditions.

Every case is different, and strong documentation matters.

Have questions about VA disability claims, PTSD, sleep apnea, or medical evidence? Drop them below for a future Ask Doc Jeremy episode.
