Unpopular opinion:
Most busy women over 35 are not struggling because they’re lazy.

They’re struggling because they’re exhausted.

Adding more cardio to an already stressed body is like stepping on the gas while the check engine light is flashing.

Instead:
✓ Build muscle
✓ Improve recovery
✓ Support your nervous system
✓ Walk more
✓ Sleep better

The women I work with often see better results from lifting 3x/week and recovering properly than they ever did doing endless cardio.

I was reviewing my workout footage...

Only to realize I missed some of my son’s little adventures on the sidelines 😂

Honestly, I’ve learned that if there’s no screaming, bleeding, or active destruction...

Sometimes it’s best to just let them be.

Kids don’t need perfect supervision every second.
They need space to explore, create, and occasionally do weird kid stuff while we get our workout in.

The biggest lie busy moms tell themselves isn’t:

“I don’t know what to do.”

It’s:

“I’ll start when life slows down.”

Because let’s be honest...

Life isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

There will always be dishes.
Always be laundry.
Always be appointments.
Always be little humans needing something from you.

If I waited for the perfect time to work out, I’d still be waiting.

Most of my workouts include interruptions, questions, missing equipment, snack requests, and a tiny workout buddy who thinks my dumbbells belong to him.

And you know what?

It still counts.

Because fitness isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being consistent.

A messy 20-minute workout is better than the perfect workout that never happens.

Your kids don’t need a perfect mom.

They need a healthy mom.
An energetic mom.
A mom who shows them that taking care of yourself matters too.

So if today’s workout was interrupted 17 times...

It still counts. ❤️

For years I thought I just needed more discipline.

So I ate less.
Worked out harder.
Ignored my exhaustion.
And wondered why the scale wouldn’t move.
