If youâve ever wondered who is guiding your children, here you go.
This little sass who I adore put a smudge of shaving cream on my arm and looked at me with THAT look.
You know the one.
The sparkle with a little mischief in their eye that says,
âI have an idea...â
I gave her the look, the one that said âgo for itâ
It was not long before I was covered head to toe.
This was during a season when I decided to reserve my *No* for the moments that truly needed it.
Everything else was yes.
Yes to curiosity.
Yes to wonder.
Yes to expression.
Yes to seeing where an idea might lead.
They spend so much of their lives being managed, corrected, redirected, and told to hurry up.
Sometimes all they are really asking is:
Is there actually room for me here?
That day, and almost all the days since, the answer was yes.
