Here’s a little tip for something you’ve been putting off:

Don’t wait until you feel completely ready.

Pick the smallest version of the thing you can do — and do that.

If you’ve been avoiding making a video, record a 30-second one.

If you’ve been meaning to reach out to someone, send one message.

If you’ve been thinking about trying something new, take one small step toward it.

We sometimes think confidence has to come first.

But often, confidence comes AFTER we take the action and realize, “Hey, I can do this.”

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that you could take a small step toward today?

Sometimes you know exactly what you want next.

You’ve thought about it.
You’ve imagined what it could look like.
Maybe you’ve even talked yourself into it… and then right back out again.

Because then the questions start.

What if it doesn’t work?
What if I make the wrong choice?
What if I’m not ready?
What will other people think?

Here’s the thing:

You don’t have to feel completely confident before you take the first step.

Sometimes confidence comes AFTER you move.

You try something.
You learn something.
You adjust.
And little by little, the path becomes clearer.

So if there’s something you’ve been thinking about doing, ask yourself:

**What’s one small step I could take toward it today?**

Not the whole plan.

Just the next step. ❤️

Sometimes the hardest question isn’t:
“What should I do next?”

It’s:
“What do I actually WANT next?”

We spend so much of our lives doing what needs to be done:
• Building careers
• Running businesses
• Raising families
• Taking care of other people
• Checking things off the list

And then something changes.

Maybe the kids are grown. Maybe you’re retiring or changing careers. Maybe the business you built doesn’t excite you the way it once did. Or maybe you simply realize you want something different.

Suddenly, there’s a new question:

“What do I want this next part of my life to look like?”

Sometimes you don’t know yet.

And sometimes… you DO know.

But fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt keeps talking you out of it.

What if you didn’t have to have the whole thing figured out?

What if you just started by asking:

“What would I love to do next?”

I’d love to hear your answer. ❤️

It’s Friday. 😊

Did you do the thing you said you were going to do this week?

Post the video.
Make the call.
Follow up with the lead.
Reach out to the potential client.
Go to the networking event.

Or did you tell yourself, “I’ll do it next week”?

Sometimes we know exactly what we need to do to grow our business — and we still don’t do it.

That doesn’t always mean you need a better strategy.

Sometimes fear, self-doubt, overthinking, or perfectionism is quietly getting in the way.

So before you close out the week, ask yourself:

**What’s ONE business-building action I’ve been avoiding that I can take today?**

It doesn’t have to be big.

Take the step. Then let yourself feel good about taking it. 💕

Fear doesn't always say, "I'm afraid."

Sometimes it says...

"I'll do it tomorrow."

"I need to think about it a little longer."

"I'm not quite ready."

"I just need to get a few more things figured out first."

Or my personal favorite...

"I'll do it when I feel more confident." 😉

The tricky part is that fear can look very reasonable.

That's why it can be helpful to recognize HOW fear tends to show up for you.

I created a short Fear-to-Action Assessment that identifies five different patterns — including overthinking, perfectionism, avoidance and staying invisible.

If you've ever wondered why you can KNOW what you need to do and still have trouble doing it, you might find your result interesting.

If you'd like to take it, comment **FEAR** below and I'll send you the link.

Have you ever worried about something for days... and then when it finally happened, it wasn't nearly as bad as you imagined?

I know I have.

That's one of the frustrating things about fear and anxiety.

Your mind can create an entire story about what MIGHT happen.

What if I make the wrong decision?

What if I embarrass myself?

What if it doesn't work?

What if something goes wrong?

And before you know it, you're reacting to something that hasn't even happened.

Sometimes the thing we're afraid of really is difficult.

But sometimes?

We've spent far more time worrying about it than we ever spend actually dealing with it.

You don't always have to know how everything is going to turn out before you take the next step.

Sometimes you take the step...

and discover you were much more capable of handling it than fear told you that you were.

Has that ever happened to you?

I didn't start speaking because I was confident.

I became more confident because I started speaking.

When I first started building my business, I knew speaking was something I needed to do.

But knowing I needed to do it didn't mean I felt completely confident doing it.

Would people be interested in what I had to say?

Would they understand it?

Would they think I knew what I was talking about?

I could have waited until I felt completely ready.

Instead, I started speaking.

And something happened.

The more I did it, the easier it became. People listened. They asked questions. They wanted to know more.

My confidence didn't come first.

The action came first.

I think we sometimes have this backwards. We tell ourselves, "When I feel more confident, I'll do it."

But sometimes you have to do the thing while you're still a little nervous.

And confidence catches up.

What's something that became easier for you simply because you kept doing it?
