Dear Aaron,
Thank you for everything you have done for me on my journey to becoming a tattoo artist. After a rough start where I had put my trust, hopes, and dreams into the wrong person, I came to your door in 2022 very wary and with my walls up. From the moment I met you, I knew I was in the right place. What I thought would be a quick get to know you moment, became a couple hours of sitting at your side, while you jumped right into instruction. And boy was I ready and thirsty for any knowledge! While working alongside you these last few years, I have learned so much from your deep artistic knowledge and passion about our industry, I have learned to stand up for myself in so many ways, and to be proud of each and every growth moment. This is a tough industry but your joy and dedication continued to push me to become a better artist alongside you.
I am thankful to you for your trust and faith in me as I take over Cry Babies. I would never have dreamed of this incredible opportunity, but I am ever so grateful that you have passed down this incredible place to me. I promise to do my very best to uphold the dignity and safe space that the shop is for so many people in our community for the last decade. Keep your cell phone sound on because you are, and will continue to be, my mentor and guide for the rest of my tattooing journey. Just because you leave for a different state, doesn’t mean you can get rid of me! Muahahahaha!
Love you forever and thank you for being such an incredibly important mentor to me.
