This is what we sent to our nursing team for Nurses Week… REMINDER FRIENDS....THIS IS A NO JUDGEMENT ZONE AROUND HERE!!!

“It’s officially Nurses Week, which means I’m both morally and professionally expected to say something thoughtfuL…but also something honest.

SparroWell does not run without you......like… at all.
No charts.
No care plans.
No ‘yes, this is actually correct’ confidence.
No ‘we’ve got it handled’ (because we wouldn’t).

Just chaos.

Not the ‘I’ll just handle this real quick’ moments that somehow turn into 45 minutes.
Not the chart builds that require actual thinking.
Not the quiet fixing of things no one even realized were wrong.

You are the calm in the chaos—and the reason we can actually say we improve outcomes (and mean it).

Also—let’s be honest—you’re doing all of this while:
Fixing things no one trained you on
Explaining things people should already understand
Navigating systems that occasionally feel… personal

And somehow still being nicer than the situation deserves. Truly impressive.

We appreciate you more than this email can capture (and more than any pizza party ever could).”

Who likes raccoons? Guess which one. 🦝

We’ve recently had some… unexpected office visitors.

While one of us is clearly embracing the experience, I’ve now walked into my office twice to what can only be described as complete raccoon-induced destruction.

Apparently, the space above my office has been claimed by a mama raccoon and her babies—who’ve been:
• Hosting their own meetings during mine
• Testing the structural integrity of the ceiling
• And redecorating (aggressively)

There’s nothing quite like leading a call while debating whether a raccoon might make a surprise appearance mid-sentence.

Leadership lesson: stay adaptable… because sometimes the “unforeseen challenges” are literal.
At least someone here is enjoying the situation. 😅

And this is our final picture...........that’s a wrap on PALTmed 2026 😅

If you need a visual representation of “running on passion, purpose, and very little sleep”… this is it.

Conferences like this are exhausting—but in the best way. So many meaningful conversations, new partnerships, and shared ideas around how we continue to move long-term care, value-based care, and population health forward.

This work isn’t easy—but it’s worth it. And if this picture says anything, it’s that we gave it everything we had.

SparroWell may be leaving the building… but we’re leaving energized, inspired, and already thinking about what’s next.

SparroWell has officially left the building… but don’t worry — we’ll be back.

Grateful for the conversations, the collaboration, and the shared commitment to improving care for some of our most complex and vulnerable populations. Events like this are a reminder that real progress in long-term care and population health happens when passionate people come together with a common purpose.

Looking forward to building on the momentum and continuing to push forward innovative, value-based solutions that truly make a difference.

Meet our Chief of Clinical Services, Jordan......and also wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Jordan’s nursing journey began at the bedside, where she worked as a CNA in long-term care and later in Med-Surg at Lafayette Regional Health Center—a rural hospital serving a predominantly geriatric population with complex chronic conditions. While continuing to work full-time, Jordan earned her LPN and then her RN, building a strong foundation rooted in patient-centered, hands-on care.

After becoming an RN, Jordan spent five years in hospice nursing, including three years as an RN Care Manager. In the final two years of her hospice career, she stepped into leadership roles as Assistant Director of Nursing and later Director of Nursing. It was during this period that her passion for advocating for underserved and vulnerable populations truly took shape, as she worked to ensure patients received the dignity, care, and attention they deserved.

For the past two years, Jordan has been a valued part of SparroWell, a company founded on Ernestina’s deep passion for the post-acute care space. That mission resonated deeply with her and continues to drive her work each day. She currently focuses on the Clinical Operations, focusing on supporting clinical teams, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care across the communities SparroWell serves.

At SparroWell, the mission—“It Starts With You”—is at the heart of everything they do. Jordan is proud to be part of an organization that leads with purpose, prioritizes people, and remains deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in post-acute care.
