My friend Mary (aka Hyphen🥰 long story) and I did a trial run of our light art candle holders that we will make at the retreat. Mary's ended up looking like a wild graffiti wall and mine were uncharacteristically tame and non-risky-ish. When we lit them all together, they looked so magical. The convergence of our spirits.

There is a special magic that happens within groups of women. When women get together we simply look around and see what needs to be done. There is rarely a hierarchy, no boss directing everything, just sisters and aunties jumping in and setting up the tables, starting the coffee, making sure the tech is working for the slide deck, and telling each other “you look amazing sis, that outfit is fire.” Women support each other, we celebrate each other, we pull up when someone is low. Just share location sis, and I’ll be there. We have so much wisdom about how to live well together, yet we are carrying so much hurt at the same time. We are much more likely to suffer autoimmune conditions, to struggle with cortisol weight, develop stress related illnesses, to be fearful of or have experienced gender-based violence, to be medically misunderstood, and to have given up on finding a life partner who regards us as a true equal. After all this time struggling and seeing my sisters struggle, I just want to use what I have to lift a little of the weight off our shoulders and for us to feel sacred, loved, nurtured and cared for like we do for the rest of the world - and I decided to build a business that aims to do just that.
