World Continence Week is all about raising awareness and helping people better understand bladder and bowel health.

Incontinence can be influenced by many factors, including aging, chronic conditions, medications, and mobility changes. It is not something people should feel they have to manage alone or in silence.

Common signs to pay attention to may include:
• Frequent or sudden urges to go.
• Leaks during daily activities.
• Waking up multiple times at night.
• Difficulty making it to the bathroom in time.

Recognizing these changes is an important first step. With the right support, many people are able to manage symptoms, stay active, and maintain their independence.

This week is a reminder to listen to your body, learn your options, and know that help is available. 💙

Bladder changes are often brushed off as “just part of getting older.” But for many people, those changes are connected to chronic health conditions, not aging alone.

Conditions like diabetes, arthritis, and Parkinson’s disease can affect how the bladder works, how quickly the body responds, and how easily someone can get to the bathroom in time.

Recognizing these connections can help you know when it’s time to ask questions, seek support, and find solutions that improve comfort and confidence. 💙

Taking care of your skin is an important part of managing incontinence, especially if you are experiencing irritation or sensitivity.

A simple daily routine can help protect skin and keep it healthy:

✔️ Clean gently.
Use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and avoid scrubbing, which can make irritation worse.

✔️ Pat dry.
Gently pat the skin dry after each change. Be sure to check skin folds where moisture can linger.

✔️ Use a barrier cream.
A thin layer of barrier cream can help protect skin from moisture and friction.

✔️ Change regularly.
Frequent changes help reduce how long skin is exposed to dampness.

✔️ Let skin breathe.
When possible, allow time for skin to air out and recover.

Small steps like these can make a difference in comfort, skin health, and overall confidence.

Talking about bladder leaks isn’t always easy, especially for men. But it may be more common than you think. About 15% of men report urinary incontinence, according to the National Association for Continence.

Leaks can happen for many reasons and at many stages of life. What matters most is knowing you’re not alone and that support is available.

Managing incontinence can help reduce stress, restore confidence, and allow you to stay focused on the things that matter most. 💙

June is Men’s Health Month, a time to remind the men in our lives that taking care of their health matters at every stage of life. That includes:

• Paying attention to changes in the body.
• Speaking up about concerns.
• Getting support when something doesn’t feel right.

Health challenges don’t define strength. Taking action does. 💙

As we recognize World MS Day, it’s important to talk about symptoms that are often difficult to bring up.

Living with multiple sclerosis can bring a lot of uncertainty, and changes in bladder function can make daily life feel even more challenging, especially when symptoms are unpredictable or hard to discuss. These changes are medical. They are not personal failures.

While medical care plays an important role, small daily habits can also make a meaningful difference. Simple steps like using a timed bathroom schedule, spacing fluids, watching bladder irritants, planning ahead, and protecting skin health can help support comfort and confidence throughout the day.

MS Awareness Month is a reminder that understanding, support, and practical tools matter. Find more information about managing incontinence with MS here: https://ow.ly/xuPB50YS0hm
