Everyone always say just love yourself and give yourself grace but is it really that easy? I don’t think so.

I think it’s a practice that we have to build and work at.

I know that when I was going through it and was at my heaviest very soon after being at my smallest - I couldn’t give myself love or grace because in my eyes, I felt like I had “messed up” and didn’t deserve it (even though I did).

But what I could give myself was acceptance. Accepting where I was at and how I was feeling rather than suppress it.

After a while, acceptance turned to liking, liking turned into fondness, and then that fondness for myself and my body turned into love.

So if you feel like you’ll never be able to love yourself then try just accepting yourself first 🌸

We hear it literally ALL THE TIME! It's shoved down our throats every which way we turn.

But for real, what does healthy even mean?

Health is defined as "the state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity".

When people think about health we don't think about COMPLETE health. We only think about physical aspects - abs, flat stomach, toned body, lean figure.

But the funny thing is, none of those things are in direct relation to being healthy. You can have a flat stomach and toned body and be the sickest you've ever been. You can have the most beautiful outside and the worst battles going on inside of you.

If you can't achieve abs without hating how you feel on the inside then that it is NOT healthy for you to have abs.
If you can't achieve a flat stomach without restricting all your favorite foods then that is NOT healthy for you to have a flat stomach.

Health is not just what you eat - it's how you feel about the food you eat.
Health is not just how you look - it's how you feel when you look at yourself in the mirror.
Health is not just loving the way you look - it's loving who you are on the inside.

Take a step back and really look at your life. Redefine what health means in your eyes and make it complete. Not just looking at your outsides.

OKAY!! IT'S MONDAY!
I'm sure one person in here said that they wanted to start on Monday and that time has come.
Now you might be looking for some other excuses to not take a step forward and make some habit changes today but I just wanted to remind you:

Talking about your food is similar to talking about yourself!

That might sound silly because you are obviously not what you eat but you have to put it in your body and digest it so it does become a part of you.

Have you ever found yourself saying "I'm going to be bad and eat ___" fill in the blank?
Or maybe even "I'm eating this bad food today and then I'll eat better tomorrow"?

By using these words to describe the food you're putting in your body - you're taking on all that guilt and judgement instead of just eating a food you enjoy.

It's may seem so little but the things you say to yourself, about the things you eat, and even inside your head make a huge difference.

So try being nice 🥰 you might find that it could change your life.
