🍯 Honey-Fried Astragalus Root Recipe 🍯
Ingredients:
1/2 cup dried astragalus root slices
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon grated garlic
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preparation: Soak the dried astragalus root slices in warm water for about 30 minutes to soften them. Drain and pat dry.(not completely necessary, but helpful)

Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.(feel free to use a different oil, this just adds a great flavor)

Fry the Astragalus: Add the astragalus root slices to the skillet and fry until they become slightly crispy and golden brown.(you’re going to want to get astragalus root “chips” not ground cut)

Add the Honey Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, grated ginger, grated garlic, and salt. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the fried astragalus roots.

Stir and Cook: Stir well to coat the astragalus roots evenly. Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes until the honey mixture thickens and caramelizes.

Serve: Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy this sweet and nourishing treat! 🍯✨
