Nine days in Chicago with Halcyon's 2026 US Health cohort recently wrapped up, and it was an energizing experience. After this kick-off in Chicago, our multi-month hybrid program includes a series of virtual sessions and a final one-week, in-person residency in Washington, DC.
Nine founders building across digital health and medtech spent the week working, learning, and pushing each other's thinking forward. I left with new friends, sharper ideas, and a much bigger network.
Why join another cohort? Two reasons. Halcyon's focus on health equity is real, not a talking point, and the access to experts in digital health is very helpful for building Freyya. Both matter directly to the work we are doing to expand access to pelvic health care for women who have been underserved for too long.

Grateful to be part of this cohort and looking forward to the months ahead. Follow along to see what we're building together. 🕊️

Wearables have officially crossed the line from consumer gadgets to clinical tools.

A recent industry survey found that:
• 60% of U.S. adults now own at least one wearable or connected health device.
• 46% own a smartwatch or smart ring.
• 59% of wearable users have already discussed their device data with a healthcare provider (https://www.mddionline.com/wearable-medical-devices/wearables-have-won-over-consumers-now-they-re-coming-for-the-clinic)

The next evolution of healthcare isn't simply collecting more data. It's generating clinically meaningful data that improves patient care.

That's exactly the opportunity we saw when building Freyya.

Pelvic floor symptoms don't occur while a patient is lying on an exam table. They happen while lifting a child, exercising, walking, coughing, or simply living everyday life.

Freyya is designed to provide clinicians with objective, real-time measurements of both pelvic floor muscle activity and intra-abdominal pressure during those real-world activities. The goal isn't to replace pelvic floor physical therapy. It's to give therapists insights they've never had before, helping patients perform therapy more effectively between visits.

➡️ Consumer wearables changed how people engage with their health.

➡️ Clinical wearables have the opportunity to change outcomes.

⭐ The future of medtech is not just wearable. It's actionable.💡

Pelvic floor disorders affect millions of women — yet they remain underdiscussed, undertreated, and underserved.
That's exactly why we're building Freyya.
I'm proud to announce I'll be presenting at Springboard Enterprises' 2026 Women's Health Accelerator Demo Day in New York City on June 23. Freyya's tampon-like wearable device gives women and their care teams real-time data to transform pelvic floor rehabilitation — making recovery smarter, more accessible, and centered on her outcomes.
If you're in the women's health, medtech, or investment space — I'd love to connect.

🚀 Big news from Freyya!
We were selected for the MassChallenge 2026 Healthcare & Life Sciences Traction Program — chosen from 350+ startup applications. 🎉
This is one of the world's most prestigious startup accelerator networks, and being selected is a powerful validation of our technology, our team, and the urgent need we're addressing in women's health.
We kicked off in Dallas in April, connected with incredible mentors, and just wrapped our Traction Midpoint Program in Boston. The momentum is real — and we're just getting started. 💜
Thanks for the opportunity.

Proud to be part of this conversation on the future of San Antonio’s startup ecosystem.

As highlighted in the recent feature by the San Antonio Report, founders across our city are increasingly leaning into what makes San Antonio unique—our deep strengths in healthcare, bioscience, military, and advanced manufacturing.

At Freyya, we see this every day. From collaborating with clinicians to working alongside experts at UT Health San Antonio—including our clinical urogynecology advisor Dr. Sylvia Botros-Brey—the access to talent and domain expertise here is real, and it matters.

San Antonio may not follow the traditional “coastal VC playbook,” but that’s not a weakness—it’s an opportunity. The next generation of companies will be built by solving real problems, in real industries, with real partners—right here at home.

Women’s health is one of those opportunities. And it’s long overdue.

Grateful to be growing Freyya in a city that values collaboration, resilience, and impact—and excited to see what this ecosystem becomes as we continue to play to our strengths.

Advocates for San Antonio's startup ecosystem want to focus on connecting San Antonio's entrepreneurs with local economic strengths.

Grateful to the TechFuel, Tech Bloc, and Bexar County community for championing innovation here in San Antonio. And to the investors, clinicians, and partners supporting us—this is just the beginning.

We’re continuing to build and welcome conversations with investors and partners who want to be part of what’s next.

It was an honor to share the stage with ComeBack Mobility, Openlane, PoliSeer (Bytewhisper Security), and RentBamboo.

-USA never disappoints ✨

Between presenting on stage, a full slate of partnering meetings, and nonstop conversations, it’s been an energizing few days for Freyya.

One of my favorite parts? Reconnecting with old friends who’ve been part of this journey—and meeting incredible new people who are just as passionate about advancing healthcare.

Feeling grateful, inspired, and excited for what’s ahead.
