Cindy Soto is an amazing mother, grandmother and wife. For 20 years, her liver disease was stable. Recently, her symptoms have become dangerously advanced.
Cindy suffers from hepatic encephalopathy, which is the poisoning of the brain by the liver’s failure to clear toxic ammonia. She suffers from ascites, which causes the abdominal area to retain 20+ lbs. of fluid. Cindy’s condition also reduces her blood’s ability to clot, causing bruising and risk of fatal variceal bleeding.
Cindy enjoys being with her family and the connections she has at church and her neighborhood. She hopes to one day be able to drive and travel again. Please help share Cindy’s story in hopes of finding her a living donor.
