Happy patient ❤️
Dear Dr. Sahni,
July 30, 2026
I’m thinking that, after surgery, there’s not much feedback to the surgeon from the patient. If you would be so kind to read this, I’d like you to know just how much you have increased my quality of life. Here are the results.
1. Walking steadiness score has gone from 7 weeks ago from “a lot” to O.K. I didn’t tell you that when I stood up, my body leaned to the left, but that’s gone now.
2. My sleep score was 25–40 and now is 70–94. I now sleep through the night.
3. My night sweats have decreased.
4. Altered problems with my bladder have resolved.
5. Severe right spine pain → gone
6. Severe sharp, burning pain in groin and thigh → gone
7. Groin & thigh skin sensitivity → gone
8. Pain radiating from thigh to knee → gone
9. Pain rating of 8–9+ from 3 inches from the right of spine to mid butt is now 3–4 at most. I am confident that PT will decrease this.
10. I can get out of bed immediately now instead of waiting for my pain to become tolerant enough to stand up.
11. Pain meds have been reduced to TID. I’m confident that PT will help decrease this also.
On a personal note, your bedside manner is unlike I’ve ever seen from any surgeon. I so appreciated that. And—elderly women like to be referred to as sweetheart. It’s calming, reassuring, and makes us feel like everything is going to be O.K. I used to call my elderly women “ladybug.” I heard you being so kind and caring to the others in recovery. Don’t change that. That is a rare quality.
Thanks again for all that you’ve done for me. I never expected my quality of life could be so much better. I am grateful.
