I was asked about the benefit of using a travel advisor versus booking your own travel. This was my response:

1. Making commission on every aspect of the travel you book (plane, hotel, car rental, activities, etc.)

2. Relationships with partners gives you access to information and discounts that are NOT made available to the public. These partners deal exclusively with travel agents and are eager to make things available to us.

There's no downside to this.... you make your own schedule, can book just for yourself or others and make commission that is already built into the trip (someone makes a commission when you book online.... it's just not YOU).
