You’d never sit down and eat a spoonful of plastic. But most people wear it 16 hours a day, pressed against the largest organ they have.
The move is to go back to fabrics that come from a plant or an animal and breathe on their own. Linen, h**p, organic cotton, wool, silk. Just know the fiber name alone doesn’t tell the whole story, because even cotton can get drenched in dyes and finishes before it hits the rack. So check how it was actually made, because that matters as much as the fiber, and lean toward brands that show their process.
You don’t have to torch your whole closet this weekend. Start with what touches you most and make those swaps first. Then slowly transition the rest of your wardrobe.
