Sometimes I can’t believe my ears when I hear women say…”but what if I succeed?!” 🤯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
More times than none, women are actually more afraid of SUCCEEDING than FAILING. Pretty wild, right?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In my own experience, I’ve found myself pushing away or resisting the doors that open with ease only to chase down the closed ones…the ones that *never* open.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But…are we knocking on those doors just because we think we “should”, because we were told that’s what “persistence”, and “hard work” looks like? Because it’s “required” of us? Or do we *actually* want what’s behind said door?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
>> Maybe that’s just us staying in our comfort zone
>> Maybe that’s just us telling ourselves old stories
>> Maybe that’s just us showcasing how long & hard we can knock on that door
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you really look at what’s in front of you, are you allowing yourself to step through the doors that open for you? Are you inviting in those opportunities? Or are you pushing them away?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’re worthy and deserving of that, of succeeding, of walking through the doors that open for you, experiencing what’s behind them, and trusting that more will open for you in the future.

What does it mean to have a truly community-led business? Great question...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the simplest of terms, being community-led means you place humans at the center of everything you do in your business.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Does every business model need to be "community-led"? No
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do businesses with community-led models show higher ROI, customer buy-in and brand affinity...yes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's why → When we can invite people into our world, mission, vision or movement in a deeper, more meaningful way, we create opportunity for them to have more ownership, and buy-in to what you're selling, creating or advocating for.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What does that do for community?
> Delivers a sense of belonging
> Invites them to be a part of something they otherwise wouldn't have had access to
> Creates opportunity for them to feel/be seen, heard, recognized in areas they’re otherwise overlooked
> It gives everyone an opportunity to lead
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What can it do for your business?
> Increases your impact & creates more widespread opportunity for change
> Makes for an enhanced customer/client experience because they don't just feel like a "number" they feel as if they're apart of something bigger
> Amplifies advocacy for your mission, vision and/or movements you're creating within your business
> I’d be lying if I said it won’t impact your bottom line, so I’ll tell you this, it will. Even if that’s not the intention your revenue will most likely increase simply by putting impact-first
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Building a community-led businesses can’t thrive when hierarchy is present. Instead, community-led business’s even the playing field, they call people into action, and creat opportunity for everyone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what do you say, are you ready to enhance your business by integrating a community-led model?

When they go low, we get loud. Let your voice take up space, my friend.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because together is the only way we make change.

Progress can't unravel unless we let it. We're standing by you and lifting you up, community.

It's a 'them' thing → not a 'you' thing (read that again)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last week, I had 10+ conversations about grounding down in your worth & the value you bring to the table.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It can sting to hear...
→ "you're too expensive"
→ "that number is too high"
→ "you're pricey"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀..but here's the thing. Those comments aren't a reflection of your worth, they're statements based on that person's relationship with money & perceived value.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The thing that makes this tough, is when we're hearing things like the above, we can *actually* start to believe that we're "too pricey", "too expensive", or "not worth it".
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever had that feedback & then immediately wanted to offer a discount? Redo your entire pricing structure? Burn down your business & build it back up?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's the thing about pricing, it need to be BOTH strategic and feeling. Meaning, we need to strategically price your services (see: not price gouge), AND those prices also need to feel 'good' from an internal point of view.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are three areas to examine if you're left with this feedback or feeling often ↓
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Qualifying leads
If you know your prices are built from a strategic and fair place, but you're still getting feedback like "it's out of my price range", we need to better qualify your leads.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Sustainable pricing structures
Cut out the feast or famine - if your pricing structure is reliant on turning over new leads FAST, maybe reconsider your pricing structure. Can we extend contracts? Automate lead gen?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. A look at your ICA and who you're attracting
When was the last time you really looked at who YOU want to serve? Not who you think you should serve. Your ideal customer will almost always be in alignment with your pricing - but the first step is deeply knowing who they are.

Here's the thing... *get's on soapbox* 📣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As entreprenures and small business owners, we receive a lot of outdated advice *sigh*. Why? Well, we’re running our businesses in an entirely different world, therefore ‘traditional’ advice and methods don’t always translate into our modern way of doing business.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Over the past two years, it’s become clear *business isn’t as usual* (and probably never will be again). We’re living in a society that’s hungry for transparency, that values honesty and can understand the nuances of being human.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So if the world is changing, I think it’s time the advice changed with it…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Raise your hand if you’ve ever been told, "don't be so sensitive, it's not personal…it’s business”. 🤨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I understand the intention behind it, it’s someone’s way of ‘diffusing’ our feelings about something, steering us away from making reactionary decisions we might regret, or taking actions that don’t feel in alignment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, what if instead of being steered away from our feelings, we were invited to sit with them?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The reality is, this advice largely comes from the male dominated, traditional workplace, suggesting women can bring too much emotion to work, therefore ‘acting like a man’, might help them make ‘better’ or more ‘level-headed’ decisions 🚩
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's why that doesn't compute – as entreprenures our businesses are built from a place of passion, and with that comes a *heavy dose* of giving a s**t.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My friend, BUSINESS IS PERSONAL, and that’s okay.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s okay to care, it’s okay to make decisions from a place of feeling or intuition, and, it’s also okay to not stuff your feelings away for the sake of business.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

TAP TAP, SAVE SAVE ↗️

This week I am breaking down your rock-solid framework for scaling a business on YOUR terms.

Call it unconventional, call it new age, call it whatever you want, but we’re doing business differently these days.

We’re reinventing what it means to be a woman in business, anddddd I have a feeling THIS might just be a 🔑 to a door you haven’t unlocked yet.

Read it, save it, then…let’s discuss. WHO do you *really* want to be in your business?

I’d be lying if I said your gut didn’t play a huge part in your business…Are you listening to it?
