This week, we’re celebrating our Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) teams at Scripps Health! 💙

The monitors, scanners, infusion pumps and other medical equipment used in our hospitals don’t just take care of themselves. Behind the scenes, Healthcare Technology Management professionals help make sure these important devices are working safely and properly for our patients and care teams.

Please join us in thanking our HTM teams across Scripps Health for all they do!

National Hospital Week has wrapped across our health system — and our teams made it count. 💙

From food trucks and themed days to gratitude events, wellness moments and a few friendly competitions that had everyone talking, this week was a true reflection of the culture our people have built together.

Every hospital celebrated a little differently, and that is what makes it special. What stays the same is the appreciation — deep, genuine and well earned.

Thank you to every team member for helping strengthen the communities we serve. What a week to celebrate you. Happy !

Scripps Health is being recognized nationally for its ongoing efforts to improve workplace safety and help protect employees from workplace violence injuries.

Becker’s Hospital Review recently highlighted the work happening across Scripps, including caregiver safety practices and the leadership of President and CEO Chris Van Gorder in launching the San Diego Hospital Workforce Violence Task Force — now considered a model for hospital safety nationwide.

Creating safer environments for caregivers helps support safer, better care for the patients and communities we serve across San Diego.

May is National Better Hearing and Speech Month — a time to recognize the clinicians who help patients reconnect with the people and moments that matter most.

At Scripps, our audiologists and speech-language therapists support patients from diagnosing and treating hearing loss to helping individuals regain speech, communication and swallowing abilities after illness, injury or stroke.

Their work goes far beyond treatment plans and therapy sessions. They help patients return to conversations with loved ones, regain confidence in daily life and recover essential parts of their independence and identity. We’re proud to recognize the work these teams do for our patients and communities every day.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating an extraordinary Scripps success story 👶👶👶

Mikayla Toney recently welcomed triplets following an ultra-rare pregnancy, all under the care of Sean Daneshmand, MD, director of maternal-fetal medicine at Scripps Clinic.

Mikayla experienced a spontaneous monochorionic triamniotic pregnancy — a naturally conceived pregnancy where three babies share one placenta — a condition that occurs in about one out of every 100,000 births. After spending time in the NICU at Scripps La Jolla, the babies are now home healthy with their family.

We’re grateful to the incredible teams across Scripps and our partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego who cared for this family and helped bring the babies home.

Happy Mother’s Day to Mikayla and to all the amazing moms, moms-to-be and mother figures out there today! 🌸

Thank you to CBS 8 for sharing this inspiring story.

Scripps Encinitas is expanding care for North County with the new Lusardi Tower opening in late May. The state-of-the-art facility brings advanced technology, more hospital beds and private patient rooms to support a growing community.

Scott Eisman, MD, chief operations executive/physician, says demand for care has steadily increased over the past decade, transforming the hospital into a destination for more complex services. This expansion ensures patients receive advanced, high-quality care close to home.
