Twist ties, bread clips, juice bottle tags, and other small plastics we use every day are not accepted in municipal recycling bins and end up in the landfill or as plastic pollution. Although they’re small, these little plastics add up over time to make a big impact.

What is TagBack?

TagBack is a recycling program that upcycles these hard-to-recycle plastics and gives them a second life as patio furniture.

How You Can Make A Difference:

Each Jimbo’s location has a TagBack collection box at the front of the store. Collect your tags and ties and drop them into the designated bin the next time you shop. They’ll be sent to the TagBack recycling program to be turned into new products!

The heart of Jimbo’s has always been organic, and back in 2021, we launched our commitment to soil program, which was a progressive step in identifying brands that support regenerative organic agriculture. Fast forward to today, because of the meaningful work of the Regenerative Organic Alliance, we now identify these brands at the shelf by highlighting the regenerative organic certified logo.

From September 1 through December 31, 2026, Jimbo’s is donating 1% of sales from the regenerative organic certified items to the Rodale Institute farmer training initiatives.

Look for our 1% shelf tags throughout the store for R.O.C. products.

ABOUT Rodale Institute :
The leader of regenerative organic agriculture. Rodale Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing regenerative organic agriculture through research, education and outreach. For nearly 80 years, their mission has remained focused on healing the health of the people and planet by creating healthier soil through regenerative organic agriculture practices.

Leading the way in farmer education:
95M acres of farmland are poised to change hands in the next decade. The Rodell Institute is training the next generation of farmers with the knowledge they need to fill their shoes. The Rodale Institute farmer training program is a paid 35 week farmer training program that gives aspiring farmers the knowledge and experience they need to start their regenerative organic career. Students will experience the entire lifecycle of an organic diversified crop and vegetable farm and learn what it takes to maintain a profitable business all while building soil nutrient density of their crops. It cost approximately between $27K to $30K per student, per 35 week training program. This covers room, board, wages, curriculum, and field trips.

Sometimes you just can’t beat a classic. Our Ham & Swiss Sandwich is made with Beeler’s ham, Swiss cheese, organic lettuce, organic tomato, organic Dijon, and avocado-oil based mayo. Choose from our regular or no gluten added option and grab one from the deli for an easy lunch on the go.

Hearty, flavorful, and completely plant-based! Our Cuban Black Bean Soup is made with ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS including black beans, carrots, celery, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, cumin, and oregano. Find it packaged and ready to go in our Grab & Go section.

At Jimbo’s l, we do everything we can to reduce our impact and keep food waste out of the landfill.
We’re grateful to partner with local animal sanctuaries like Franklin Farm Sanctuary who takes unsellable, inedible organic produce scrap and feeds them to their animals.
Franklin Farms is a fully vegan, family operated, and volunteer-based animal rescue in Lakeside that is dedicated to the betterment of animal welfare.
We love this partnership because it not only prevents food waste, but also supports local organizations and feeds animals in need.
Last year, Jimbo’s donated over 45 tons of food scraps to local farms and animal sanctuaries.
Be sure to do your part at home to reduce waste by properly composting your food waste to keep contaminants out of the green bin.
