Maybe you never stopped wanting that thing you’ve been dreaming of for years. Maybe you just got tired of wanting something that never seemed to happen for you.
Apathy can look like, “Whatever. I don’t care anymore.” But if you still feel that sting when you think about it, or when it happens for somebody else but not you, some part of you still cares. You may have gone numb to protect yourself from being disappointed again.
The problem is, you don’t get to numb only the heartbreak. You can also shut down your excitement, your willingness to take chances, your ability to notice opportunities, and the part of you that can receive something good when it appears.
And we are not getting rid of apathy just to make you hopeful again. You were hopeful before. You wanted it, waited for it, and still didn’t get there.
Wanting keeps you focused on not having it. This series moves you toward certainty and neutrality, where what you want no longer feels impossibly far away or like something you have to chase or convince the universe to give you.
Being open to receive is not the same as being on track to receive.
Being on track means you can see the next step and take it, or that things just start coming to you more easily. You recognize the opportunity and move when the door opens instead of overlooking it, doubting it, or talking yourself out of it.
Tomorrow in Elevate & Illuminate Live, Bill and Liz are guiding a complete Cognomovement session around apathy, the place where you may have numbed your desire, shut down your hope, and stopped reaching for something you still want.
Bring whatever came to mind: the relationship, the job, the business, the money, the purpose, or the life change.
Maybe the desire isn’t gone. Maybe you’ve just been protecting yourself from more heartbreak.
We’re not opening the door and leaving you standing there. We’re helping you walk through it and keep moving toward what’s on the other side.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 4 at 3 PM Pacific.
