Digging deeper! Finding your true WHY gets to the root of why a particular goal is important to you. Use this as your driving motivation for change!
A common conversation I have with patients:
Q: Why do you want to change your diet?
A: To get better control of my diabetes
Q: Why do you want to get control of your diabetes?
A: So I can be healthier
Q: Why do you want to be healthier?
A: So I can be around for my kids longer?
Q: Why do you want to be around longer for your kids?
A: Because they are the most important thing in the world to me and I want to enjoy as much time with them as possible.
Ah ha! So you want to change your diet to improve your health so that you can spend more quality time enjoying your family!
