You’re doing the crunches. The planks. All the “core” moves. And still… nothing.

🦗

Here’s the thing: your core doesn’t work alone.

It’s part of the deep front line, one continuous chain running from your toes all the way to your tongue. So when it goes quiet, going harder on the abs isn’t the best way to get through. It’s kind of just yelling louder at someone who already stopped listening.

Here’s the mom-factor: During pregnancy, as your belly grows, your core muscles are impacted. Jobs shift. Not everyone gets the memo that it’s time to switch back.

A real core reset means checking in with the whole friend group - the whole deep front line - and reminding the team how to talk to each other again.

It’s not about isolating one muscle and hoping it fixes everything. It’s about getting the whole chain back online.

It’s kind of like relationship counseling for your body 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

Feeling like your core could use a more holistic approach? This is what Core Reset for Moms is ask about.

You’ve been told to ‘engage your core.’ But did anyone tell you to breathe first?

Your diaphragm and your pelvic floor move together… every single breath.

Inhale, the pelvic floor moves down and expands. Exhale, it lifts and contracts. That’s the natural rhythm.

But when breath patterns get disrupted (hello, pregnancy, stress, and holding everything together 24/7), that rhythm breaks down.

You end up bracing instead of breathing. Gripping instead of supporting.

And no amount of “engage harder” fixes a broken breathing pattern.

This is why the Core Reset for Moms teaches you how to work WITH this natural rhythm, not against it.

This isn’t a discipline problem…

Posture isn’t just about standing up straight. It’s about how your feet connect with the earth and how your pelvis, ribs, and head relate to each other when you’re standing, sitting, and moving.

Pregnancy shifts all of those relationships.

After delivery, there is no auto-reset.

Immediately, the repetitive tasks of parenting hit.

The body absorbs it all.

Already vulnerable from inconsistent sleep, a disconnected core, and compensation patterns adopted during pregnancy, your posture shifts. Systems are compromised.

Mom-shoulders, mom-butt, mom-pooch… they’re all postural patterns reinforced by all the carrying and feeding, the changing and comforting, and mental load of motherhood… made worse by little time to rest and little or no direction on how to actually heal, recover, and rebuild.

This lack of guidance is one of the biggest obstacles for moms desperately wanting to feel stronger, more connected, more confident in their bodies.

All the crunches in the world can’t help you reclaim these things because your core is not just some independent contractor in your body. It’s part of a whole system, it interacts with multiple teams, has multiple jobs.

It’s not that you’re not trying hard enough. It’s that the setup isn’t letting the system work.

👉 The Core Reset for Moms starts here, at the set up, so the whole system can start working together again.

Mom butt, mom pooch, mom shoulders… sound familiar?

I hate those terms, but I know you know what I’m talking about and honestly they point to something very real: your body adapted to motherhood.

🤰🏻Pregnancy shifted your center of gravity.
🤱🏻Carrying kids changed how you stack your spine.
👩🏻‍🍼Feeding and comforting rounded your shoulders.
💁🏻‍♀️ All of it makes sense.

But most moms receive little to no guidance on how to address these shifts. And if you do find some posture exercises they almost always skip right over the most important piece 👉 reconnecting with your core.

Pregnancy creates a disconnect between you and your deep core muscles, which serve as the foundation for how your body handles gravity. Without a solid foundation, everything kind of collapses which can create bigger problems like chronic back pain, sciatica, headaches…

And no, more crunches are not the answer 🥴

When you’re slouchy - belly out, butt tucked, shoulders rounded -  your joints are compressed and your muscles can’t get the signal they need. The exercises you’re doing might be fine but your core is ‘offline’.

📢 This isn’t a discipline problem.

It’s a communication breakdown inside your body, made worse by a medical system that stops offering maternal support the second you give birth.

I can’t do the inside work for you, but this guide will cut through the noise and help close the education gap so you have a clear path forward. It’s based on work I’ve been doing for over 10 years with moms just like you 🫶.

You don’t need another workout, you need a reset.

Screens aren’t going away — but how we use them matters… especially for growing bodies.

Spoke up again at the school board meeting for smarter, more intentional tech use in our schools — because the habits kids build now show up as posture issues and pain in my studio later.

And the physical toll is only part of it — I’m equally concerned about the emotional, mental, and developmental impact on kids navigating a world designed to keep them hooked.

Sharing here because this is as much a health conversation as it is an education one. 🙌

Mommy+Me Postpartum Pilates
WEDNESDAYS 8:30am @ Point Pilates in OB

AHHHHH!!!! I’m so excited to be teaching this class and teaming up with Point Pilates to make sure moms have a place to reconnect and rebuild together ❤️❤️❤️

This class is for you if you’re looking for a safe space to heal, reconnect, and rebuild after pregnancy. Whether you’re 6 weeks into motherhood or 6+ years.

Non-mobile babies are always welcome! You can bring a little mat for them if you want so they can hang, or nap, or feed, or even join in with you while you workout.

If your core has been feeling weak, wobbly, or untrustworthy lately, don’t worry.

It’s not broken.
It just needs the right kind of wake-up call 🫶.

And spoiler alert: That wake-up call is a lot gentler (and more effective) than you think.

You don’t need to punish your body to get the results you deserve.

Questions? Message me or post them here!

Hope to see you in class 🫶
