The finishing step everyone rushes, when a few extra seconds are what make it last. Lori's approach comes down to one idea, which is that lasting color starts with the liner, not the lipstick. She lines and then fills the entire lip with pencil first, so the color has something to grip, and only then adds lipstick or gloss on top. The liner is not there to sit at the edge, it is the foundation the whole lip is built on. Fill first, layer second, and your lip holds through coffee, lunch, and everything after.

A beauty brand telling you to buy less. We know how that sounds.

Here is the truth most launches will not say out loud: a lot of “new” trends are just a technique you already have the products for.

Before you add another blush to the pile, shop your own bag. Press what you own on a little differently, layer it, damp-finger it, and you will get most of the way to the look the algorithm is selling you.
