Today, I am recommitting to minimizing stress in my life 😌

Did you know, that research estimates up to 90% of illnesses and disease to be stress related ⁉️

Our top killers, high blood pressure, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, obesity, and depression are all linked to stress.

“According to the United States Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, ‘Eighty-three percent of all deaths for adults between the age of 21 and 65 are related to lifestyle.,

Unmanaged stress is increasingly a characteristic of many Americans today.”

Thankfully, we are not defenseless to this epidemic.

Proven strategies to release and manage stress include:
✨Physical activity
✨A healthy diet
✨Limiting screen time
✨Practicing self care (nature walk, baths, candles, massage, yoga…)
✨Spend time with loved ones
✨Create healthy boundaries
✨Yoga and Meditation

Whatever your goals are, aim to strive for progress over perfection.

Whatever you can measure, you can improve.

Baby steps consistently taken over time will lead to progress.

Rather than deciding on a goal and trying to tackle it right away, consider this:

What is a small yet meaningful step you can take right now to get you closer to your goal?

This mentality will take weights of pressure off of you to be perfect right away.

Perfect is unrealistic. There will always be room for growth!

A gentle reminder that in some respect, we have control over our lives and our happiness 🌞💛

Life IS a rollercoaster that is full of highs and lows. Each moment, we have a decision on how we choose to react to our circumstances.

A great example is the women diagnosed with cancer can either give up and allow it to consume her, or pivot and do everything in her power to heal and survive.

Or the legend Aron Ralston who got his arm caught between a rock and a hard place and cut his arm off to save his own life.

✨Today, you decide your destiny.

✨You get to choose to think positively or negatively.

✨You get to actively create the life of your dreams.

Choose happiness my loved ones! 💙
