THE CARERS IS BACK TUESDAY 🐚. This free peer wellness group is for anyone who cares for others.

This session will challenge our tendency to put the needs of others before our own and explore ways to do so authentically and sustainably.

The Carers is a peer wellness group for Pan Asian caregivers, community leaders, organizers, and helping professionals in the diaspora wanting to tend to our own needs and plant roots in a supportive community that nourishes us. We welcome those of us who carry visible or invisible labor for our families and communities. The group will incorporate Expressive Arts, somatic and traditional healing, and open sharing.

Join us bi-weekly on Tuesday @ 5 - 6 pm Pacific to exhale and let go of what you’ve been holding on to while taking in communal nourishment to sustain you.

The final session on Saturday 18th April @ 9am Pacific/ 7pm Beirut celebrates art and healing as resistance and brings together people resisting colonial violence across generations and borders, with extended time for open dialogue.

Care as Resistance is a fundraising webinar series organized in solidarity with Lebanon-based colleagues who are displaced.

All funds raised will be distributed as direct cash assistance to occupational therapists most affected by displacement. Cash assistance allows people to prioritize their own needs with dignity (temporary shelter, medicine, food, and basic necessities).

Care as Resistance is a fundraising webinar series organized in solidarity with Lebanon-based colleagues who are displaced. Speakers from Lebanon, Palestine, US and other occupied lands will address frontline health work, state violence, and mental health under occupation.

Lebanon is living through another violent escalation. Tens of thousands of people have been forced from their homes. Occupational therapists are not outside this crisis. They are living it, displaced from their own homes while continuing to show up for their communities.

All funds raised go directly to occupational therapists as cash assistance for rent and basic living expenses, distributed by and for the people doing this work.
