Happy International Women’s Day y’all!!! I am sending all my love and light to the women supporting women. May we know them.❤️May we be them💜. May we raise them. 💗

Also, I just want to send a special shout out to all the women that have supported me over the years. We are talkin in life or business. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the encouragement of other amazing women.

On days like this 😇 I think about the most influential women to have come into my life and the lessons they have taught me. I cannot celebrate the women of this world without talking about one women always stands out to me....

My Abuelita (aka grandma) Maria Christina was probably my biggest influencer. She was born and raised with her siblings on a dirt floor in Mexico. She couldn’t read or write. Eventually, she met my grandfather Antonio and found herself married with 3 kids (eventually 7 w/ one passing) in no time. She managed to hold down the fort while my grandfather worked here in America on a temporary work visa( that’s a whole other story). My grandfather would eventually change the course of future generations when he was able to get Legal Residency and send for the from the rest of the fam. My Abuelita had to travel from Southern Mexico alone with five little kids (ya’ll like traveling across the country).Let alone not being able to read or write. I’m always amazed when I imagine her journey.

Luckily, she made it safely to America. My grandpa managed to save enough money on a migrant farmers salary to buy my Abuelita her first home (with floors🙌🏽) In the Bay Area. My daddy would end up being part of the first generation born here and to serve in the military (Semper Fi ❤️daddy). By 1986🙋🏽‍♀️ your girl was born. My parents divorced before I even hit a year old. That’s where my Abuelita became my caregiver😭 my everything. I would go on to have her in my life for 18 precious years before her passing two days before my high school graduation. Something in me broke that day and I’ve never really gotten that piece of my heart back.

I have always been told to physically write down short term and long term goals and place them somewhere you can consistently revisit them. The reason being that you are more likely to achieve something that you are reminded of daily. Fun fact, am I right?
