On Imagine A Day Without Water, we're reminded that clean, reliable water doesn't happen by accident. It's a result of decades of skilled, dedicated work by people who show up every single day. 💧🤝

20 years ago, Project Director Kevin Bartlett began his construction career at Lake Pleasant Water Treatment Plant as a laborer, and today, leads some of the most complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southwest. To celebrate, he recently walked his son through the very site where his career started.

That's what water infrastructure looks like up close: a passion passed down, a community propelled, and a sustainable future built one project at a time.

There’s a new member of the downtown Phoenix skyline🏗️With the tower crane now standing over the future Arizona State University's Health Headquarters, the project is moving into vertical construction in the Phoenix Bioscience Core.

Alongside our design partners CO Architects and DFDG Architecture, McCarthy is helping deliver a 175,000-square-foot facility that will bring together medical education, engineering, public health, research and clinical collaboration under one roof.

Future home to ASU’s John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering and School of Technology for Public Health, the facility will prepare future healthcare leaders while creating new opportunities to connect education and innovation with the health needs of communities across Arizona.

Seeing the ASU flag flying above downtown is an exciting marker of the progress ahead, and we’re proud to build it alongside ASU and our project partners.

Together, we believe safety is at its best when it's a shared responsibility that defines our culture. 🤝

From weekend carne asada feasts to visits at his uncle’s jobsites in Monterrey, Ricardo Morales’ Mexican American upbringing gave him an early connection to both family and construction. Those experiences led him to study civil engineering at Texas A&M, a 28-year career at McCarthy and a leadership role as a Senior Preconstruction Director in our Southern Region.
