This week’s Goats 101 class was packed with learning, movement, mindfulness, and plenty of baby goat snuggles! 💛

Our kids:
🐐 Learned about the goat life cycle
🧘 Practiced yoga + fun partner poses
🎶 Relaxed with a peaceful sound bath
☀️ Enjoyed a guided meditation
🐐 Held and loved on our baby goats
🍦 Cooled off with popsicles
🎲 Played Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
🎨 Made adorable goat magnet crafts

We love combining yoga, mindfulness, agriculture, hands-on learning, and FUN for an experience kids will remember! 🌿🐐

🌻 Yoga + Agriculture + Goats = a pretty great day on the farm! 🧘‍♀️🐐 🌞 🪘

Today’s Lotus & Sol Wellness kids yoga and ag science class was packed with movement, mindfulness, hands-on learning, and lots of creativity!

🏷️ A hands-on Post-it activity where students worked together to label the parts of a real goat
🎨 Goat paper-bag puppet making to finish out the day!

All on a working farm! Lucky 7 Farms AZ

The puppets may have been one of our favorite parts, flowers, stripes, spots, bright colors…we loved seeing each student create a goat completely their own. 🐐🌸🎨

We love combining yoga, mindfulness, agriculture, science, animals, and creativity to give kids opportunities to learn with their whole bodies, not just from a book. 💛

Freedom is one of the greatest gifts we can ever receive, and one of the greatest gifts we can protect.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, may we take a moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and enduring hope that built this nation. May we honor that legacy by living with gratitude, extending kindness, serving others, and caring for both our bodies and our communities.

One of the greatest gifts yoga has given me isn’t just what it has done for me, but what it allows me to give to others.

At its heart, yoga is an act of selfless service. It’s about showing up with compassion, creating a safe space, and reminding people that they are worthy of peace, hope, and a fresh start, no matter where they are in life’s journey.

That is why it is such a privilege to bring yoga to incarcerated youth in Pinal County. Every class is a reminder that healing is possible, resilience can be strengthened, and even the smallest moments of stillness can plant seeds of lasting change.

I am deeply grateful to Yoga’s Arc and the generous private donors whose support makes this program possible. Your kindness is helping provide these young people with tools to manage stress, build confidence, regulate emotions, and discover the strength that already exists within them.

Service has a beautiful way of blessing everyone involved. I may be the instructor, but I always leave feeling like I’ve received far more than I’ve given.

Yoga is so much more than poses on a mat. 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🪷 🏝️ 🌞

One of the lesser-known aspects of yoga is our connection to nature. Through the Niyamas, particularly Santosha (contentment) and Svadhyaya (self-study), we are invited to slow down, connect with the world around us, and cultivate a deeper awareness of ourselves.

Taking time to step outside, feel the sun on your skin, listen to the birds, or place your bare feet on the earth can be a powerful yoga practice all on its own. This practice of grounding, often called earthing, encourages us to become present, calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Sometimes the deepest yoga practice isn’t found in a pose. It’s found in a quiet moment under the open sky, feeling rooted, supported, and at peace.
