đŸ•Šïž A Little More Peace in Your Feed

Life can be loud.
Expectations can be heavy.
And sometimes our minds simply need a softer place to land.

At Paper Cranes Therapy, I believe healing doesn’t always begin with having the answers. Sometimes it begins with feeling safe enough to be exactly where you are.

This page is a little extension of that space. đŸ€

I’ll be sharing thoughts about mental health, anxiety, trauma, parenting, adolescents, boundaries, nervous-system regulation, creativity, and the beautifully imperfect process of being human.

Whether you’re looking for a therapist, supporting someone you love, raising a teenager, or simply trying to understand yourself a little better—you’re welcome here.

🌿 Follow Paper Cranes Therapy and invite a little more peace into your feed.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.
Sometimes finding your peace is enough for today. đŸ•Šïž

As a therapist, I’ve been watching the recent conversations blaming therapists for adult children choosing to cut off their parents. It saddens me to see an entire profession painted with such a broad brush.

Healthy therapy is never about encouraging estrangement. It is about helping people understand their experiences, develop insight, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, and make thoughtful decisions that support their well-being.

Family relationships are complex. Sometimes healing means repairing and reconnecting. Sometimes it means creating healthier boundaries. In rare situations involving ongoing abuse, neglect, or serious harm, distance may be the safest option. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

I also believe there is a danger in offering blanket reassurance to someone who has chosen to cut off a parent without carefully exploring the full history, family dynamics, and all possible paths toward healing. That kind of work deserves patience, curiosity, and clinical skill—not quick conclusions.

The best therapists don’t tell clients what relationships to keep or end. We help people think critically, process pain, recognize patterns, and make informed decisions that align with their values and safety.

Mental health care should never be reduced to social media sound bites. Families deserve thoughtful, individualized care—not assumptions.

🌿 New Beginnings Start with Support 🌿

Whether you’re preparing to send your college student off to school or you’re finding that life has become harder than it used to be, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

College Students:
Starting therapy before leaving for college can provide a trusted relationship and support system during one of life’s biggest transitions. Establishing care now means your student already has someone they know and trust when challenges arise.

For Adults, Teens & Families:
If anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, or difficult life circumstances have made everyday life feel overwhelming—or you’ve stopped doing the things you once enjoyed—it may be time to reach out.

At Paper Cranes Therapy, we provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where healing, growth, and hope can begin.

✹ Serving clients throughout Idaho and Montana via in-person and telehealth appointments.
