All day long I get to witness how love flows - thru a family, thru someone's work, or at moments like this, thru a society.

love always wants to do something, it has somewhere it's got to go, come what may. this is not to minimize the force of oppression, suppression, cruelty even. but there is always a way through. the flow of love is not just soft and yielding; it can be fierce when it needs to be.

I'm looking back through my posts about the Orders of Love in celebration of MLK, his teachings on non-violence and how to live Love in Action in a big way. ❤

As part of the Foundry Festival in Cambridge, next week I will be offering a workshop on
Nature Constellations.

We'll be looking into how this practice helps us to improve the human connection with the natural world. All will have the opportunity to do an experiential exercise to expand the felt sense of belonging with nature.

During this time of so much change and uncertainty, it is particularly important to reconnect with resources that are grounding and stabilizing.

Connecting with four cardinal directions has a way of guiding us back to an innate knowledge that is as steady as the rising and setting of the sun. It can remind us of who we are in space and time, and provide answers for how to move forward.

In this video Daan van Kampenhout, the originator of Systemic Ritual, demonstrates how the Wheel of Four Directions can be worked with during times of uncertainty.

"The wheel of America’s racial karma rolls on with the thunder of denial and the awakening of truth and clarity.

On Friday I will offer a talk/response to the events that are transpiring in America, followed by a short guided meditation and then silent sitting. Please join me.

Some (especially white) people, in light of what occurred at the capitol, are waking up to a new level of awareness of the existence of white supremacy as an institutionalized reality. Waking up from a legacy of 400 years of denial.

For brown and black and indigenous people, these recent events highlight the pain of our exhaustion. They remind us how long we have been praying and struggling for respect, human dignity and equity in this society while others remain in denial.

This continued heartbreak begs me to ask:

- How long do we want to hold this thing up?

- And as James Baldwin has asked, “Do I really wanted to be integrated into this burning house?” While recognising the investment, the blood we spilled, the tears, and the creativity we’ve invested in this land, while under protest and subjugation the whole time? This is the America’s racial karma from which none of us escapes.

In the wake of events at the capitol, I cried cold tears of truth. These tears were different than tears of sorrow I cried for George Floyd and so many others. These were tears of trauma release, of having the truth so objectively clear for the whole planet. Tears of affirmation of my own experience.

I’m not crazy. This is a system founded in injustice and brutality and violence."

A monthly workshop on living in to your purpose and resolving old patterns standing in the way of being your most authentic, creative self.

January 26 @ 4-6:30 PM ET / 7-9:30 PM ET

With all of the disruption and cancelling of the past year, life as we once knew it is over, and there is much rebuilding to do. We are convinced that the best way to make a difference in the world is for each person to find their own answer for why they are here and to live more fully into their potential.

At these monthly workshops there will be presentations on topics like potential, purpose, and intuition, as well as experiential exercises to clarify what’s next.

We will be guided by the practice of systemic constellations, which provides techniques for how to build a work life that connects your gifts and talents with the outer world, in a way that feel aligned and purposeful.

TOPICS WE EXPLORE
We look at purpose and the professional or creative work you do from a holistic perspective — including your product or service offering, clients, collaborators, and the flow of money. We also get to know the Emerging Future, which holds a special place in these times of great transition.

Looking forward to gathering tomorrow evening for Celebrating the Mystery with master celebrationist Svetlana Zabolotnaia.

Svetlana has been spending much of 2020 exploring the Emerging Future as well as the Dragon Dreaming model for collaborative design. She will be facilitating a celebration circle to reconnect and share gratitude for the skills, experiences, and wisdom each of us has cultivated this year.

In Dragon Dreaming, celebration is considered a key part of community organizing. Very often when a job, a relationship, a project completes, after The Doing we quickly move on to the next dream, without evaluating or integrating what we have lived and learned.

Making time for celebration is considered vital — including from a systemic perspective. It is a feedback loop that spontaneously replenishes and recharges, resourcing yourself and the circle for the new Dream.
