Checking in. Food is medicine and food is energy. It truly is amazing what our bodies and brains are capable of when we fuel ourselves correctly. I never imagined I could get back in shape and continue to get better and better at 41. Sorry forgot the grumpy face, but I was flexing hard and smiling is difficult when you flex hard. 😂😂😂

Hello friends... I'd love to take a minute to introduce myself and share a little bit about me and what my desires are.

My name is Corey Fox, and I am a brain health coach, reiki healer, professional photographer, former Cirque Du Soleil acrobat, and an avid learner. I am literally always reading and always lost in a book. I had a friend once say to me that my hashtag should be...

I am definitely an introvert by nature, but I have learned to play the role of an extrovert when needed. I think they call that an ambivert?

In 2007, After several years of intense anxieties and depression and other health issues, I began a magical journey of healing and self discovery. I have learned a lot about correcting the physical components of the brain using food and supplements, using inquiry to question our thoughts and accept realities, and have since discovered a beautiful connection to spirit world and the Universe that creates a wonderful and ever lasting space of inner peace within.

My greatest desire is to remove the stigma of "mental health" and open up the lines of conversation. Once we truly understand all of the components, the "mental" symptoms are just indictors of a brain that has an injury and needs to some nurturing. We get too wrapped up in this construct of thinking we are less than if our brain is not working at its full capacity. It just needs some attention and I hope that I can share some of my wisdoms and allow you to feel safe in healing this space.

How is your Tuesday so far? Would it be even better if I shared a tip about finding balance? Well, here it is! Practice yoga in Costa Rica! 😆 Orrrrrr at least go to your yoga mat in your living room and pretend you're in Costa Rica? Yes I think that! .. Desperately wishing I could be there now! Anyone up for a trip soon?

The yoga mat has been the most amazing place to go to when I need to find my way back to the balance. It doesn't matter what is going on in my world, when I step on the mat I allow myself to be fully present for the entire time. What is your favorite way to find yourself back to balance quickly?

The only way to discover our most authentic self is to spend time with ourself. We can surround ourselves by others and emulate them, but it will never fully resonate. We are simply acting like them and that will never feel quite right.

Our job is to recognize the parts that we admire in others, collect that information, and discover if those attributes connect with what our highest self is trying to communicate to us.

If we are only collecting data and never sitting with ourselves to understand the data, we just end up confused. It is a skill like all things that must be practiced.

Even discovering that we have the desire to learn to enjoy the company of ourself is the first step in discovering our greatest purpose and our most authentic self.

All of our greatest desires exist within us and will be communicated to us when we sit with ourself and choose to listen.

Are you struggling with accepting current realities in your life?

I spent quite a few years focusing on my physical health, but I still struggled with thought patterns that were creating so much suffering inside of me. I believed that other people's actions were responsible for how I felt. I thought they were doing things to make me suffer and I wasn't able to see it any other way. I remember watching a video of .Katie's work and I started laughing hysterically. I realized in a moment that I alone created my reality within my mind and I could change my perception in an instant. Her work is magic and all she asks that we do is question our thoughts. Her process is so human and it resonates with me to the deepest level.

Is it true?
Can I absolutely know that it’s true?
How do I react when I believe that thought?
Who would I be without that thought?

It is difficult enough to live in a world where our brains suffer when we believe the crazy stories we make up in our own minds.

Imagine how much more difficult we are making our realities by believing the stories that are made up in someone else’s mind.

Does this story bring me closer to inner peace? Does it create a sense of calm in my mind, body, and soul?

If not, then it does not align with my highest divine purpose. The answers will only be received through sitting in quiet and I will know by how much joy I feel when my “truth” is revealed to me.

The morning light is the most magical... also magical are having morning daily practices to start the day off right. These are my steps that my wonderful friend gifted me and it makes every morning come alive.
* Feed Libby
* Heat up some water and add lemon
* 3 sun salutations to give thanks for the sun rising
* Ten minute self massage with coconut oils and essential oils (this is life changing), warm the hands up with the hot water you're drinking
* Thirty minute brisk walk outside (this can burn around 200 calories)

I suffered from severe anxiety for many years. It's not often I have to break out the tool bag these days, but I have it on hand always. These are my go tos to calm the scary moments, but food and sleep and supplements and removing caffeine and sugar are equally as important to calm our Anterior Cingulate Gyrus and Basal Ganglia. Please reach if you're struggling with symptoms of anxiety. I understand the overwhelm of this experience and can guide you to safety.
