there’s an insane amount of detail packed into a tattoo that’s only a couple inches wide. tiny flowers, leaves, different shades of blue, gold framing & fine lines all fighting for a very limited amount of space. at this size, every little mark matters & there really isn’t much room for error.
a lot of the challenge was figuring out what details mattered, what needed to be simplified, where i needed to leave skin open & how to make something this small still read as blue porcelain when you step back from it. a tattoo like this demands a ridiculous amount of patience, precision & perfectionism to pull off.
i also have to give a huge thank you to Ali for having the patience to sit through the process & trusting me to see the vision through. a tattoo like this demands just as much patience from the person wearing it as it does from the person doing it.
