Since 1970, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties have played an integral role in the Sarasota County community, providing daily programs and services to thousands of young people. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

What a way to celebrate 20 years of coming together for young people! 💙

This morning, our community came together for the 20th Annual IPG Leadership Breakfast to celebrate two decades of leadership, legacy, and impact.

Club members, leaders, and alumni shared the impact of their Club experience, and the morning was a reminder of the impact that can happen when a community comes together.
And while we’re proud of the last 20 years, we’re even more excited about what comes next. 🙌

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up and invest in our young people. You have made these 20 years, and the next 20 years, possible.

When Jamie DiDomenico, founder of Cool Today and current BGCSDC board member, was honored at our IPG Leadership Breakfast in 2019, his message to the future leaders at the Club was simple: follow your passion, don't give up, and seek out mentors and examples along the way. 💙

That message feels especially fitting as we celebrate 20 years of the event. 20 years of recognizing leaders who have invested in young people and helped create opportunities for the next generation.

Because leadership isn't just about where you are today; it's about who you inspire to lead tomorrow. 🙌

Some stories are just too sweet not to share. 🍬

Lanie F. and Sophie Y. participated in 'sYoung Entrepreneurs Program in the spring of 2024, turning their idea into a real business that they continue to grow today! .ps creates custom candy bags, jars, and boards for birthdays, graduations, holidays, and more.

Now, as they prepare to start college this fall, Lanie returned to The Club with a $2,000 donation to give back to the program that helped launch their entrepreneurial journey.

From a business idea to young entrepreneurs and now giving back to the next generation of entrepreneurs. This is what a Great Future looks like! ✨

Carolyn Mason, former Sarasota City Commissioner, County Commissioner, and Mayor, was honored at our IPG Leadership Breakfast in 2022 for her decades of service and her commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for people across our community. 🤝

As Carolyn shared, “even though they are young, they can give back,” as she believes programs at Boys & Girls Clubs not only empower the next generation, but inspire them to want to make a difference in their community.

For 20 years, Leadership Breakfast, presented by IPG, has celebrated leaders who believe in that potential. Leaders who believe in the impact happening at the Club. 💙
