if your baby can’t finish a bottle without grabbing your lips, sticking their fingers in your mouth, pulling your hair, or casually trying to remove your nose… same 😂

babies love exploring while they eat. they’re already right up close to your face, their little hands are free, and somehow mom’s face will always be more interesting than any sensory toy we could buy them 😭

because apparently they can sense the exact moment mom thinks she got away with it 😂👀

anyone else’s baby transfer perfectly for literally everyone BUT them?! 🙋🏼‍♀️

motherhood has enough pressure without feeling like you’re being graded on how you feed your baby, how much you enjoy every stage, or how easily it all comes to you. 🤍

you’re allowed to love your baby more than anything and still have a hard time.

there’s no judgment here. ever.

that stubborn burp that just won’t come out? 👀

you don’t have to keep patting forever 🤍 some babies swallow very little air during a feed and simply may not burp every time.

if baby is comfortable and you’ve tried for a few minutes, it’s okay to move on.

follow your baby’s cues, not the pressure to get a burp every single time 🫶🏼

nothing humbles you quite like your 3 year old moving your hands out of the way because she clearly has this handled ….😂🤚🏼

There’s something kind of incredible about this one🥹🧬

During pregnancy, a tiny number of cells can cross between baby and mom, and some may remain in the other’s body long after birth. This is called microchimerism.

So when people say, “you carry a piece of your baby with you forever...there may actually be
a little science behind it.

The connection between mom + baby is pretty amazing.

newborn p**p can look WEIRD. 😂💩

yellow? loose? weird little “seeds” that look like your baby somehow got into a sesame seed bagel?

for breastfed newborns, that can all be completely normal. 💛

those little seedy/curdy bits are generally thought to be undigested milk components, and newborn digestion is still brand new so their diapers can look very different from what you might expect.

save this for the next time you open a diaper and immediately think …is that normal?! 😭

and when in doubt, take a picture before you toss the diaper. trust me, we’ve seen A LOT of p**p. 😂💩

nobody warns you about night 2 😅

night 1: “omg my baby is so sleepy, i have to wake them up to eat”

night 2: put me down and see what happens 😂

they want to eat constantly. they fall asleep eating and wake up 5 minutes later looking for more. they want to be held ALL night. and suddenly you’re wondering what happened to that sleepy little newborn from yesterday lol

it’s actually so common that it has a name: the second-night phenomenon 🤍

and if you’re breastfeeding, all of that cluster feeding does NOT automatically mean you aren’t making enough milk. that frequent stimulation is part of what tells your body to make more.

obviously we still care about good feeds, diapers, weight, etc. but sometimes… your newborn is just being a newborn.

save this one if you’re pregnant because night 2 might humble you 😂🤍
