One of the biggest misconceptions about Botox is that it “lasts 3-4 months” and then suddenly wears off overnight.
But that’s not how it works.
As the product gradually metabolizes, muscle movement slowly begins to return. For most patients, we start to see some muscle activity come back around the two month mark with strength continuing to build over time.
That means there isn’t a single day where your Botox expires.
It’s a gradual process.
If your goal is to maintain smooth, consistent results year round, your treatment timing matters. Rather than waiting until movement is fully back, most patients are maintaining their results with appointments every 3-4 months, depending on their anatomy, metabolism, and treatment goals.
