Here are the facts: Plastic is everywhere. It's in the things we buy, the foods we eat, and now, in increasing amounts, it's inside of us. Of the 400+ million tons of plastic that human beings produce each year, it's estimated that nearly half of that is for single-use items—used for just a few moments, only to be tossed away and left to stick around on our planet for centuries.
More plastic has been produced over the last ten years than during the whole of the last century – and every year, more than 10 million tons of that plastic ends up in our oceans.
When we started Vermouth Beauty, we decided it was time to rethink our relationship with plastics and create a more sustainable choice for lip color lovers everywhere.
