After 21 years as a health and fitness coach, one of the best parts of this work is the amazing people I get to work with.
I truly feel like I have one of the best jobs in the world because I get to coach some of the best people in the world.
Over time, some clients become more than clients — they become friends, mentors, and people who genuinely impact your life.
Shoutout to my guy Adrian, aka AB.
AB has been an incredible client and friend, but he was also a huge mentor to me when I was buying my first home.
As a realtor, business owner, and someone who owns multiple homes, he helped guide me through the process — even though he couldn’t represent me directly because he’s out of state.
I’d send him homes I was considering, and he’d help me think through what to look for, what questions to ask, which years and features to pay attention to, what to watch for during inspections, and how to think long-term about ownership, space, peace, and independence.
One of his lines that always stuck with me:
“Shared walls kill dreams.”
We laugh about it — but I think there’s a lot of truth in it.
For me, becoming a homeowner was about more than just buying a place. It was about having a space of my own, not sharing walls, having a backyard, more peace, and living out the American dream of owning a home — and building a real foundation for the next chapter of life.
That’s one of the coolest parts of this work.
I get to coach people through health, fitness, strength, movement, habits, and stress management — but sometimes they end up mentoring me through life too.
Grateful for you, AB. 🙏🏼
