The inspiration for this poem (that I wrote years ago, which became a song for Khu.éex') stemmed from a personal question, “where did we go wrong in society with raising our sons to treat women so unnaturally cruel?” I don’t know the answer. But these words poured out of me after I asked Saláana this question. When my poem started becoming a song it was during the beginning time of bringing awareness to . I got a music video vision in my head of using photos from the Women’s Marches in Seattle back then. I’m so excited that all of the love & inspiration from the artists, photographers and musicians came together in this video! We hope this song touches your heart and soul!
